Thought some of you might be interested in the MK Halloween decorations from an impromptu WDW solo trip this weekend. This last weekend before the Food and Wine Festival may be the smallest crowds of the year. Great weather, no lines for anything (even Splash Mountain) and a collective relaxation among Cast Members that the summer rush is over. Didn't see any green ribbons or Mickey Heads. I left on the spur of the moment Thursday afternoon after my last meeting without even a toothbrush or clothes. Interesting to watch the last minute booth construction for FW going on at Epcot. A few 'round the world drinking teams and Japanese Goths in elaborate regalia about, but so few guests that it was almost like a private event.

Thanks for the pics. I love the MK at Halloween and can't wait for my October 2010 trip! I wish that I could just take off and go to WDW for a week-end.

Thanks for the pix fix...I'll be there in exactly a year myself...I sure wish next Sept. was here already.

Roy Disney was fond of saying "If we can dream it, we can do it!" - or was that Dr. Frankenfurter saying "Don't dream it, be it?". Something about dreams and it. Anyway, it helps to be motivated.

I was hiding out from an irate girlfriend. Why do they do that? I never got the memo. For $8.95, a Florida Walgreens will sell you all of the essentials for civilized life, from a toothbrush to a clean shirt. Unlike some people, CMs are almost always happy to see you.

Trying to finagle a ticket to the final Explorer's Club event next weekend, but prospects are slim. F&W at Epcot after that, if all comes together. As a last resort, I guess I could join these guys, whose shirts read "Drunk around the World 2009". Or not. Too much organization can suck the fun out of anything.

Good...I see they have a designated driver! :lmao:
The guy in the scooter chair seemed a bit more three sheets than the others. At 10am. Notice they all have the same basic build? Related? Aware of it? These guys were pretty courteous and seemed to be having a lot of fun.

I've been watching the 'round the world drinking teams with some interest for a few years. The most out of control wallowing-in-the-Germany-fountain-sloppy-drunk groups I've seen have all been coed 30 something professionals. Says something about the need for release among the upper middle class salaryman types in the US. I'm glad they came to a safe, fun interesting spot to get their drink on. Very civilized of Disney management to be tolerant and helpful when it comes to the playtime requirements of adults.

Love the pics, I'll be there this time next month (Oct 21-27), so the pics really got me excited for Disney and the F&W. I'm staying at AKL and still deciding if I should decorate my door. :scratchin

..thanks for sharing.

Cool pics

If I remember my Rocky Horror correctly, any "it" that Frankenfurter would be referring to wouldn't be a fit subject for a family boards.
