I (for the first time) saw the Magic Kingdom game in TRU yesterday. Can anyone tell me about it if they have it and is it worth whatever the asking price is?? TIA!!

I can't answer your question, but I also saw this in TRU last week and almost flipped out. It looks SO cool! I will be.....excuse me.....my DD will be getting this for Christmas this year.

It looks like it's based on Disneyland instead of the Magic Kingdom in WDW... at least the description refers to "Sleeping Beauty Castle". But the board looks like MK at WDW????????

Is that the case? But I thought the park in CA was called "Disneyland" and the only "Magic Kingdom" is in WDW.

Thanks for clearing that one up!! I saw disney direct.com had the disney trivial pursuit for 16.99; that was a LOT cheaper than I saw at places like walmart or target. I'll have too look for the other one though!

I have the Magic Kingdom game and the board is layed out like MK in WDW. I didn't pay close attention to the castle description, so I can't remember if they called it by the wrong name.

Anyway, its a board game. You pull 5 attraction cards (1 from each land) and move your token around MK to visit each of your 5 attractions. The first person back to the entrance wins. Along the way you can collect Mickey and Donald's autograph, and by having them you can stop another player from pulling an 'even't card. An event card is similar to Monopoly's Chance. It may send you to another attraction, to City Hall, to eat lunch, take another turn, etc.

Its a lot of fun. I couldn't wait until Christmas to play it, so we opened it for game night last weekend. My 9 yr son loves it. We paid $19.99 (regular price, no sale) at Toys R Us.

Thanks..........going to investigate it further for DS birthday in January! (Love those Jan. birthdays!) I did have a quick second to glance at the back of the box and it seemed layed out like MK in WDW. BUT--it DID say "Sleeping Beauty's Castle"....so, not sure what gives there?? Maybe WDW MK is layed out better, but SB castle was first so they went with that? Dunno, just a thought. But, thanks for the info.....looking forward to playing it!!

does anyone have a photo of wht the box looks like? this sounds like a pretty cool game

Hey got2travel, the answer lies in the lands. Does the game board have New Orleans Square or Liberty Square? That will tell is if it is MK or DL.

No photo of it, but there was a picture of it in the sunday paper's Toys R Us ad....it's exclusive to TRU

You can see pictures at amazon.com (who is partnered with Toys 'R Us) and it sure does look like MK from WDW. HM is in the right place.

I got it for my nephew at WOD at DLR. Also I got POTC LIfe (I'm pretty sure you can only get that one at the theme parks). That one's for me. Has a great game board--lots of references to DL, WDW, and DCL along with the POTC movie, plus some general Disney stuff.
