We made it! In the West Wing!
Great that you got in! What did you think of BoG?

Yup, and be prepared for a longish wait. It was opening at 10:30am when I was there, saw people queuing up at 9:30am and this was during early/mid December when crowds weren't too bad. I'm told the lines moved quickly, maybe waited 25-30mins. I'm guessing it'll be a fair bit longer the lines though with MK being as busy as it has been past couple of days
Get in line EARLY for BOG lunch. We were there 2 weeks ago and crowds were low and we still waited in a line that was 45 minutes long at 10:45 am.
Thanks for the heads up. I guess we're just going to have to wait and see how it turns out. Back up plan is Cosmic Ray's. I keep trying for BoG dinner reservation, but I don't see that happening. I scored a Tony's ADR a couple weeks ago, though. Regardless, I'll be sure to provide an update for my fellow DISers.![]()

Some have reported a very long wait at opening, and others have reported less of a wait a little later. It makes sense to me since many folks expect it to be so busy they go for opening. We went for lunch on Saturday 12/15. While it was not Christmas busy, it was a VERY busy day, projected to be a level 9 crowd that day. We got in line around 11:30 or so and waited only around 30 minutes. I will say that they are VERY efficient moving the crowds through there. My only complaint is that the efficiency felt...... too efficient if that makes any sense. But I did appreciate the apparent lack of hassle getting in and through there on a very busy park day.
Reports I saw before our trip said they closed for lunch at 2:30, but cut the line around 2. I don't know if that varies during a peak week like this. I know the earliest dinner ADR's were around 4.
When we were there for dinner one night our waiter said they were having a fairly decent no-show rate. There were indeed a couple of empty tables near us in the West Wing that night. They had not been overbooking but were going to start doing so to make up for it. Which makes no sense since when ADR's opened on 8/20 they mistakenly didn't require a CC guarantee, but recitfied that soon after. My point being, it never hurts to ask early in the day if there is any chance at a walk-up for dinner.
Good luck and enjoy!
I had the Cornish Hen and my husband had the Shrimp and Scallops. The lighting was a little low in the west wing, but the entrees and desserts were really good. I like how they bring the desserts out and tell you about each one. I also ate there on Saturday as a quick service. We went right at 10:30 which was perfect. We walked out at 11:15 and the line was past the bridge.
Although I know people want to be at MK on Christmas day, come on people. It just does not make any sense. If I were going to be at a park on Christmas day it would have to be Animal Kingdom. It just makes more sense.

Here you go. All these were taken near Liberty Tree Tavern:Does anyone have any pictures from today of what the crowd looks like?
That is crazy. We ate there yesterday and got in line at just about 11:00. We only waited about 15 minutes to order. There were people lining up (maybe 20) around 9 amor so today. Crazy
