MK Fireworks?

Not having a trip planned, I haven't been paying attention to what's going on in the parks. However, unexpectedly, I find we'll be in Orlando this summer ON my 61st birthday! (July 26) Although we won't be going to the parks, I was thinking I'd LOVE to celebrate my birthday with dinner at California Grill, and watching the fireworks. I just looked at the July park hours and not only is MK scheduled to close at 9pm (IN THE SUMMER???), but I see there are no longer any fireworks scheduled for MK! What the heck? Is there any speculation that Disney will indeed put in another fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom for summer 2017? Does anyone remember at what times the fireworks (and park closing) have traditionally been for MK in July? I was so excited to go to CG and see Wishes for my birthday... now I don't know WHAT to plan!!

The hours will almost certainly be expanded closer to the date. They are essentially showing MK closing at 9:00 PM in June and July for now.

Wishes last showing is May 11th. The new show, "Happily Ever After" should be showing every night (barring weather) every night in July. I would book CG as soon as you can.

yes the hours will be extended and there will be fire works that you can see have you seen @Robo maps on where to watch the fire works. I know you have the grill but you may find something better or if this dose not work out for you

Does 9pm sound reasonable for CG? It's either that or 7:10pm, which I think is early... but maybe not. Drinks, apps, dinner, dessert... fireworks at 9 in July?

We were at WDW last summer during late July and did not have one night that MK was open passed 1o:00. We were so dissapointed because we love the 1am or 2am closings!

I would do the 7:10.

Last year there were a lot of cost cutting initiatives due to 1) Shanghai cost overruns and 2) tepid attendance.
