Question on MK fireworks viewing. How far back on main street (towards the entrance) can you be and still appreciate the fireworks? Do you need to be half way between the park entrance and the castle.....can you be all the way back near the entrance?

Just curious how to balance a decent view with a kid meltdown/quick exit strategy.

I've watched the fireworks from the monorail station and had a good view

Below is a rough estimate of the Fireworks viewing spots
based on other posters' info on the boards and personal experience.

I was wondering this too... I have dinner reservations at Tonys at 7:30 and was wondering if we could still get a good view for wishes or I should i move my dinner reservations thanks OP for posting

Do you mean the TRAIN station?

The view from the monorail station would be considerably blocked due to it's angle and position
behind buildings and thick trees.

This is always a good question esp for newbies and there will always be newbies since that is one of the reasons why the DIS Boards are invaluable.

One of the other many reasons why DIS Boards are invaluable is members like Robo. So...thanks Robo! I wonder about how many times you have helped other members with the same information and they had a great time in part to your help?

So kind of you to say!

Thank you, divawife!

Yes, I may have reposted this info a couple of times over the years. ;)

Robo, you are THE BEST! Do you create these maps on the fly or do you have a repository somewhere? I'd love to see them all. This is the second of yours I have seen and it's immensely helpful!

I have created more and more maps over the years (as I found need when answering questions here) and also modify many of them as things change at WDW.

You will find several more of my WDW aerial-view maps HERE.

Thanks for your interest in my maps!

Does the colour coding map work to be able to have a good view of the castle and fireworks together for photos etc?

I was wondering how close you need to be to the castle to appreciate The Magic, Memories, & You. Assuming pretty close. How far in advance should i stalk out a spot on a Wed, 2nd week of Nov, on a week when Wishes is only shown twice (Tue and Wed).

Do they have fireworks everyday? Is there a schedule I can see? Thanks

Actually, we thought that the views for MM&Y was quite good even as far back as Casey's, Crystal Palace, etc. The photos projected on the castle are quite large.

Unless there is severe weather, fireworks typically happen on every single night in the Magic Kingdom in the form of Wishes (for regular nights), Hallowishes (Halloween season), or Holiday Wishes (Christmas season). Note that in most cases, if you want to see holiday fireworks, you have to buy a separate ticket to the holiday party happening on a given night.

Typically, fireworks are at 9:00 PM, but no Disney schedule is set in stone. Times are available in the park on that day, an are also posted on the WDW website, and on many other websites - wdwent.com is a great choice for scheduling.

So, as another newbie: If you are going to watch the Main St Electrical Parade, and you have small kids, what would you do re fireworks viewing? We would of course like to make a reasonably quick exit and get the kids in bed. (We will have our car, but of course the issue is getting to it.) Would you stay on Main St? I think I'd prefer to watch from the train station, but would it be too late to head up there after the parade?

Yes it would be too late, by the time the parade starts there will be no viewing spots left and people with a good one will not leave after the parade.

That area however will be the only place you can see them and make a quick exit.
