MK Fireworks on a Boo Bash night

We have decided not to go to the Boo Bash, however, I'm thinking of changing my park reservation for MK to a Boo Bash day since the time difference is only 30 minutes.
1. Will the day guests still see the fireworks,?
2. I suppose since the Boo Bash guests will get in early it will be super crowded?
3. I am thinking of doing this because I think the non Boo Bash days will be super crowded. So I guess the tradeoff is super busy park all day with not so crowded fireworks vs. not so crowded day with super crowded fireworks.
What would be your strategy? This is an adult only trip, in September, so we view MK as a park we can do in less than 1 day if you take out the princesses, meet and greets, and child friendly rides.

No strategy needed but your regular one for MK—please stop thinking of Boo Bash like it’s a holiday party, it’s distinctly not. It’s an After Hours event. Literally none of what you’re worried about is a factor that applies to AH events.

As day guests without event tickets are concerned, a Boo Bash night is the same as any other night at MK. At most you might see a slight uptick in wait times around 7 when Boo Bash guests can get in without a park ticket.

Today was my 60 days, and it appeared to me that I couldn't make ADRs past 6pm at MK on Boo Bash nights. Maybe that was just a glitch?

Maybe, but I know in the past they had dinner packages associated with the Halloween party. It's possible they may release later times down the road or they may come up with another paid event within the after hours event timeline.

I'm seeing MK ADR options on 9/3 in the 7-9 PM range (same day we're going to MK but leaving before Boo Bash). What were you trying to book?

Edit: I see what you're saying for 9/5. Strange. I looked at some of the MK restaurants on Sunday, 9/5 on my desktop and their hours for Sunday show they are closing at 6pm that day. Maybe it's an error or something new is happening for the Fall. Go to the Dining page, select a MK table restaurant and change the date to 9/5 to see what I mean. Something weird must be happening with the website because the mobile app shows normal closing times of 9pm but has no availability after 6pm like you said.

Yes! 9/5 is when we'll be there so that's the date that I was looking at. Confusing.

I remembered that they used to have dinner packages associated with the Halloween party also, so I thought that might be the case--but I can't find anything like that for the Boo Bash. We bought tickets for 9/5, but have APs so we'll be in the park all day anyway and wanted a later dinner. We just gave up and reserved a 7pm dinner at a monorail resort. I wonder if the will release these times later? Or if someone with tickets could call to book them.

I would check other Boo Bash nights to see if there are any reservations later than 6? Or you could call. I would just keep looking but I'm like that lol

I am seeing later reservations for all the Boo Bash nights. I'm searching by 7:00, not dinner. Up to 6 people it gets limited but I see a 7:20Skippers and an 8:45 BOG for 9/3

Yes. Fireworks are still within park opening hours.

We're only in Orlando for 9/4-9/6 for Labor Day weekend, so 9/5 is when we have Boo Bash tickets. I'm now curious if this is just a glitch on my end. I've checked every size group and every time, on the app and website. Can anyone else see in-park ADRs for 6-9pm in MK on 9/5?

No luck on my end using both my desktop (which shows Be Our Guest closing at 6pm) and MDE app (shows normal 9pm closing). Must be a glitch. Maybe try calling in even though that's a recipe for a long phone wait but if you have a must do ADR you want, wouldn't hurt to call in.

Since my reservation is later in the month, I can't see past 9/3. Perhaps someone else with a reservation the same day can see. I would also check with the Restaurant/Dining forum. Lots of ADR help there

You will still see the fireworks without Boo Bash tickets as this is an AH event and not a party so the park does not close early for the event. The park has it’s regular park hours with the event starting after the park closes at either 9 or 9:30, Boo Bash guests can enter at 7 but they will be with regular day guests until 9pm. This is the biggest thing that people keep doing is thinking of it like a party when it’s clearly not.

you won’t find anything because this is not MNSSHP, it’s an AH event and there have never been dinner packages or dessert parties or anything associated with it.

I doubt they will since the AH event is only 3 hrs unlike when it’s a party it’s 5 hrs. Just not enough time at an AH event to have separate packages.

Yes. Fireworks are still within park opening hours.
Too early to tell. The current calendar doesn't list any times for the MK firework show on nights with AH and those without.
I suspect you are correct that it will happen at 8 or 8:30 and give them time to clear out the park of non AH guests. They could also just not have fireworks on those nights like they did with the previous parties.

Oh, I'm very aware it's an After Hours event, not an MNSSHP, which we never chose to attend. There not being anything available in MK after 6pm at 60 days is strange, however.

Besides the good possibility of a glitch (you can never rule those out), I’m wondering if attendees are taking advantage of their “free” hours in MK to dine - and save rides for the (fingers crossed) reduced capacity of Boo Bash.

I see the normal operating hours today for MK are 9am to 11pm. Do the normal MK hours get shorter during the fall time? I guess I'm confused why this is "after hours" if it starts at 9pm, two hours before the current closing time?

Edited to add: I too switched my park passes for MK to non-boo bash nights, because I thought the hours/crowds would be different. But my schedule would work better the other way so if that's not the case I will switch them back 🤷‍♀️
