MK Fireworks Cruise

We’re staying in a bungalow at the Poly in August and I’m debating whether to rent an 8 person pontoon for the fireworks or making a dessert party reservation to celebrate my parent’s anniversary. For those who’ve done the cruise, I’m wondering if you can see the projections on the castle from the pontoon or just the fireworks? Since we’re staying in a bungalow for the week, we hope to have a good view of the fireworks so a private pontoon may not be necessary unless we also get a good view of the projections on the castle. We’ve done the dessert party for Wishes in the past and it was great (although we are not big dessert eaters). My father has some mobility issues so avoiding the crowds at the park is a definite plus. Also, I’ve seen differing reports about whether there is music/soundtrack with the 8 person pontoon. Can someone please confirm? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

No projections can be seen from the boats.
All cruises feature show audio.

Your Poly bungalow has a great MK fireworks view, (no projections) but you will have the audio on a TV channel.

Not sure if you're interested, but maybe you could try for an illuminations cruise? We did it for my grandpas 70th many years ago and it was the highlight of the trip for him. Also great because he had a hard time walking an would have missed that probably.

I've never done a MK fireworks cruise, but the Illuminations Cruises are fantastic. We've done several of them in recent years on our big family trips and a few years back, for my 40th birthday, we booked one with 2 other couples and ordered a whole spread (cheese tray, shrimp, chocolate covered strawberries) and enjoyed Illuminations from the boat along with a couple of bottles of some fantastic 40 year old Bordeaux ... just a wonderful experience - especially if you get a fun captain who really drags it out with a long slow cruise around the Boardwalk area and to Hollywood Studios.
