MK Firework Dessert Party

What does everyone think the likelihood of them extending this? Here is my worry....all of my ADR's that i made of the week are later on and if I wanted to do this, i would have to make my ADR's for earlier....unless I made it for the night we checked it, i also wonder if they would do it for Hallowishes....

After hearing all the differing CM stories on here, I called back to check my reservation. I gave the CM my reservation number and I asked for a little clarification. He said that the dessert party starts at 9pm and yes, be there at 845. He said that he wasn't familiar with any staggering times, he said that Wishes starts at 10pm and the buffet starts at 9pm.

He checked my reservation number and it was in the computer and prepaid. My advice to anyone getting a different story is to just call back and get a different CM to make sure that everything is all set.

We'll see you there! I will be the one with a canoli in one hand, and a banana creme tart in the other with chocolate dipped strawberries sticking out of my pockets.

Look for me circling the chocolate covered strawberries and cheesecake!

I called back to confirm, and I'm glad I did.

The second CM said yes, it looks like you are all confirmed, even though you didn't prepay..
Then, she said, oops, I do need a credit card number from you. She confirms that the dessert party will be $30 per adult. Wait, I said, I thought it was only $17.99 per adult. Turns out she was looking at full dinner buffet at Tomorrowland Noodle Station. They have the full dinner buffet the 23rd of August, so no dessert only party.

I guess that's what the other cm had booked for me, though he clearly read it to me as dessert buffet.

So now that's cancelled and I am booked for dessert only on the 27th, and my card was charged.

OK, I am officially confused. I was dying to book the dessert party for upcoming vacation. I was prepared to prepay, Disney Visa in hand. Got the CM on the phone asked for it for August 23rd for 3.. DH, myself and DD10. I GOT IT! 8:40 reservations, be there 15 minutes early, non smoking... blah, blah, blah, you know the routine by now. BUT HERE is where I'm confused... No credit card necessary, AND she told me it is on the DINING PLAN!

I questioned it a couple of times, but will check back, I do have the reservation number, but she repeatedit back to me 3 times... DESSERT PLAN, NOodle station in tomorrowland. My DH was laughing by the time I got off the phone because he heard me saying.... ARE you kidding, I got a reservation.. are you sure? NO really are you sure? Has anyone else had this before? Too good to be true!

I will see you there. It is our first night in Disney. Just booked it a few minutes ago. I read somewhere that it is limited to about 50 people. Anyone else see this?

okay, despite my son's allergies, after seeing all the offerings (creme brulee, his fave wdw dessert) we decided to do it... but the night we want wishes is at 9pm, does that mean the dessert party will start at 8?

I just booked our party as well for July 15th (popular night), as it's my hubby's birthday! I couldn't wait to call DVC Member Services tomorrow, as I was worried it would be sold out - so glad I called tonight. We go so often, and always for hubby's birthday, so this is something new that we are most excited to try!

I do have to say though that the first CM I spoke with was a very confusing man - I called regular number and connected to Dining. He said he knew what I was talking about, but said I had to call a special number. I questioned him several times, and he was weird about it, so I called the number anyway, and it was the exact same number. Same prompts, message, etc., so the 2nd CM I spoke with apologized and said she had no clue what he was talking about. She was efficient and we are booked!

Thanks, I'm so excited, and confused that I'm willing to spend about $60 for a night of desserts.... rofl, only at Disney could I even think of doing that! I don't even like to spend $5 for a slice of cheesecake, when I can make a whole cake at home for that!

I'm not trying to be a negative Nellie, and I know you have called back once already, but I'm worried for you that you are booked for dinner and not the dessert only party.

I was told (by the second CM when I called back) that the dessert only party is not offerred on Aug. 23, because they have a full dinner buffet there that night. And the price is $30 per person. Checking the WDW site, I saw that "Tomorrowland Terrace Cafe" is open for dinner buffet only a handful of evenings, and the 23rd is one of the evenings. I don't know if it's in the same location as the dessert party will be. Maybe it's something different. Maybe dinner would be OK, too, but if it is a traditional dinner buffet time seating, they may expect you to be gone by 10:00 when Wishes starts.

Maybe call back and check the price of what they have you reserved for. It was the price difference that caught my attention that prompted the cm to go and check and realize she was booking me for the wrong thing.

MJVANS, our family will be there the same day and time too. The lady who took my ressies was so nice and said she wanted to do this herself. Didn't know we had to pay for this up front. I hope my husband doesn't kill me There is a 1 day cancellation policy and she also said that depending on the weather, fireworks and Spectromagic may not run. I hope the weather holds out for us since this is our last night at Disney and will cancel if the weather is bad.

I'm excited we are going on the same night!! Cool! Maybe we can hang out or at least my oldest son can hang out with yours!! He wil be nineteen in August and by the end of the trip, I think he will be so tired of being around his younger siblings!! HAHA!! See you in August!!

I believe in better safe than sorry! I will call again, but I think Disney is going to be blocking my calls from now on! I cannot tell you how many calls I have done for this vacation. I couldn't get the Pirate cruise or Tusker House breakfast, and I kept calling back for that.. Then it's the dessert party! But I will call to make sure. Thanks so much for the headsup.. I need everything to be ok, DD would have a meltdown if things don't go as expected.... Imagine expecting dessert and having to eat dinner... I don't think so! Especially that this is our checkin day after a long drive from upstate NY!

I just booked and did not have to give a credit card or anything.

Also- I had called earlier today and there was NO availability- the person even checked w/ her supervisor b/c she couldnt believe it was all booked- but they both confirmed that it was.

I called back just now and got an 8:45 reservation and did NOT have to prepay either. hmmmm.

I'm gonna call back in the morning to confirma dn just make sure everything is all good.
I am VERY hppy w/ the 8:45 time though cuz i'll be in w/ plenty of time to see spectromagic
