MK exit strategy during Wishes or evening parade?

Hi - Does anyone have suggestions for an "exit strategy" for MK during Wishes or, say, Spectro? I'd like to go in the evening and take advantage of potentially short lines while others are lining up waiting for Wishes or Spectro. Then, while those events are happening, we can make a brisk exit before everyone else. Can I bypass the crowd on mainstreet by cutting through the shops? The train doesn't run while Wishes happens, right?

I don't know that you can practically take advantage of short lines, yet also leave early. We tend to do the same, but stay until a while after the last parade. The lines remain shorter and you can wallk out without fighting the crowds. Otherwise you need to cut through the stores, although occasionally, they let people out through an area behind the stores.

You can cut through the stores, I would probably try to leave right before Wishes or during it to avoid the rush
You're right, the train doesn't run during Specto or Wishes.

Another thought is to hang out until crowds clear AFTER these events. The longer you stay around the more empty is gets and you can get EXCELLENT pictures with no one in them around the castle etc. Plus, if you wait 30 min. or so you'll hear the kiss goodnight. Of course, then you will tend to still get a bit of a line at the bus stops, but not nearly as bad as if you leave immediately. Just a thought.

We always watch Spectromagic and the fireworks right underneath the train station. The exit is right there so when it ends we one of the few who make it to the bus without a wait. However, I would our upcoming trip like to stay and wait and see the park empty out.

On our last trip we decided to go and stand right at the top of Main Street USA (by the lockers) then we watched Wishes from there (great place too) then as soon as the last firework had gone we rushed through and straight out.
We found this better and as most people are stuck down by the castle we got out straight away and only waited about 5 minutes for the train.
