Has anyone ever attended an EMH at the MK that lasts until 3? I'm wondering what the crowds are like. Busy the whole time or do the crowds clear out eventually? We are checking in on Sunday afternoon, and I think it would be a fun way to start our vacation to stay up really late in our favorite park. Thank you!

We have done EMH until 3:00 AM a few times....it is exhausted but awesome! Crowds are quite low and the temps are beautiful! Wish there were some 3:00 AM days scheduled for our trip in July!

Only till 2 am, but no, the crowds don't stick around. They thin out pretty good pretty much right away, in my experience. Because they usually start around 11pm.

We've found that there is a pretty big mass exodus after Wishes, even when the park is open late and has super late EMH.

Did it with my DS and we rode BMTRR in every row without having to go back through the line. Also rode PP, Space, Buzz (8 times), and walked on to pretty much everything except for Space. And that was during the busy season of Thanksgiving.

Many many times, but peak weeks and it stays pretty busy until 2AM then starts to get pretty thin. But still a wonderful time to be there from midnight on. P Pan and Space seem to hang onto lines the longest, I'm guessing 7DMT will as well but should help.

This has been our experience too. The later the EMH the more people start to filter out. Usually by midnight the wait times for attractions are very reasonable, even if not walk on.

Oooooh...sounds so beautifully awesome. I wanna do Late-Late MK-EMH!!

My Dh has done it a few times. He can survive on less sleep than my son and I can! So, we head back to the hotel after Wishes and he heads back to the rides. Or sometimes he goes back with us to the hotel for a quick swim then heads back to the parks around midnight. He LOVES Space Mountain so he mostly rides that over and over as many times as he can! And then he gets some silly Photopass photos in the middle of the night that I always crack up at after the fact. Often ones if himself with princesses or Mickey by himself. There are no character lines at those hours, either!

Great, crowds were minimal by 1am, road multiple times on most rides. Like others have said, leaving can be a problem, but a great use of time and cooler temperatures.

Crowds thin out super quick!! It's a nice time to be in the parks... if you can stay awake. ;)

doing this on travel day? I think I would rather do a rope drop the next day than stay up until 3am on my travel day.

BUT we are doing this on the night before we are leaving. Park is opened until 1am

My oldest daughter and I did this back in August of 2011, she was 11. We loved it. It was cooler, and not so humid. The rides were walk on. Best part I think was getting a picture of just us on Splash Mountain. Which I don't think is open anymore during EMH.

:goodvibes Yes :goodvibes

The crowds tend to die down after midnight... and its typically dead around 1am. Most people with kids go back to the resort. My last trip was in June 2011 and my four year old was running circles around Fantasyland (everything was walk-on) till 3am :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: She thought it was the best thing in the world!

When we have went in summer and used emh till 2-3am we had the parks almost to ourselves nearing the last two or so hours to closing. It was really cool

Does anyone know how long the park will be open for the MNSSHP on 10/3? Both years it has closed at midnight so I'm amazed to hear it stays open until 2 or 3 am. We would so love that.

We did this the week of Christmas a couple of years ago and it was amazing! We woke up late, got to MK about 2pm and stayed til the end. I remember it being really foggy and we rode the tea cups over and over til we couldn't walk straight. I also remember riding Haunted Mansion over and over where we were the only ones in the 1st room. Was one of our best family memories of DW. Only downfall is the lack of sleep you'll have for the next day but I'm usually so excited to be there that it doesn't matter! Best things about the late EMH is great photo ops and NO strollers!!!! :yay:

It is a long night, but awesome. The crowds thin out significantly after midnight and you get the run of the place. We made it until about 2:30 and just had to head back to rest. We always do the MK EMH and plan the next morning to be a resort morning so we can recover. You will be able to go from ride to ride and walk on. Last year, we rode Splash Mountain on a late night after 11PM (can't remember if a EMH night) and went 5 times in a row without ever leaving the log. It is now DD favorite ride! Sounds like a pretty good way to start to me.
