I just checked our cast site and it does show EMH at MK 7a-8a from March 20 through April 2, and in addition, Mk will have evening extra magic hrs 12am-3am on Mar 23 and Mar. 30.

I truly don't want to provide incorrect information on these boards that I enjoy so much so I called Disney again at 407-824-4321 (luckily cell phone long distance is free on weekends). They confirmed that MK will open at 7am everyday from 3/28 thru 4/2 (those were the days I asked about, I understand this is true from 3/20 thru 4/2). With the 7am-8am hour for resort guests only.

It sure will be tough for my boys to get out of bed when we arrive on 3/31 since we are from the West Coast. I was looking forward to the parks opening at 9am. Then they announced 8am openings and now 7am for EMH. Hopefully the evening hours work out for us.

I didn't mean for you to call again...the fact that a CM posted to confirm...I just don't understand why when i called today I got a different answer...and i was specific...

I agree with Polyherewecome (and by the way, happy birthday!) Dont feel bad for us there at that time. I would rather be at Disney with everyone else than home in this cold and snow. We will have a great time no matter what. It is all a matter of thinking with a positive attitude and make the most of your situation.

We were looking for ward to doing the EVENING magic hours.... Now are there none? Are they every day liek the MORNING? I'm so confused!

I just called 407-WDW-INFO and the CM, Steph, informed me that infact there are EMH for the Magic Kingdom Park from 7am - 8am every single day from March 20-31st. I can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing!!

I'm sure Easter Week defies all logic of itinerary planning, but we were at WDW last week and the EMH mornings were wonderful. Not crowded at all. Perhaps you can go there for the morning and then head to another park when MK gets unmanageable.

You should check on this when you get there. CM's often understand the extra hour in the morning is that one hour they have already added -- i.e, opening at 8 -- even though it applies to everyone not just resort quests. However, they may also open a little earlier than that for resort guests. What we have seen before at some Easter breaks, when hours were made 8 to midnight, is that they also opened between 7 and 7:30 for resort quests (every day). Don't necessarily take all of that as a good sign. Those hours are extended for only one reason: the expected crowd is so enormous that they are trying to prevent the risk of having MK close everyday due to capacity by spreading the hours somewhat. In other words, they are now expecting 100,000 or more to enter MK daily during those Easter Weeks.

Just wanted to post that WDW has updated the calendar section of their site to reflect that, yes, MK will have EMH every morning during the period March 20 to 31.

Glad this is finally "official" although I am afraid that it is also an indication that the parks are going to be very crowded. Being from the west coast, the 7am opening time is going to be hard. I was hoping for those 9am openings. Luckily the parks return to 9am openings later in our visit.

24 days and counting until our first on-site visit (we've been several times before with large family groups staying in a vacation home).

Well I don't feel sad for you, I just feel for you. Those crowds would be way to much for me but I do understand that it would still be better than being at home. IF it were the only time I could go believe me I would be there right along with you all!

After checking out the official Disney information about EMH, I noticed that Saturday, April 2nd is not listed as an EMH morning for MK. I called this evening and verified that April 2nd will be open from 7am to 8am for resort guests only. Animal Kingdom will also be open from 7am until 8am for resort guests as well (regular schedule). Since I will be at WDW from 3/31 thru 4/7, I am trying to decide if I want to take advantage of EMH which means I need to get to the park at 7am or wait until later in my visit when MK opens at 9am.
