In looking ofr something else I just came across this and did not remember seeing it posted. If it was posted and I missed it I apologize.

The Extra Magic Hour for Thursday April 8th has been moved from Magic Kingdom to MGM Studios. Just noticed it on the CM information boards and I know how well everyone here plans...The Magic Kingdom is showing that it will open at 8am for all guests from April 4- April 17 (they are still showing the 4th, 11th and 15th as having EMH but NOT the 8th...not sure why but wanted to give the heads up).

So Thursday April 8th Disney MGM Studios will be hosting the Extra Magic Hour...NOT the Magic Kingdom...

Wow! Thanks for the heads up! I'm trying to finalize my morning plans (for the umpteenth time now) so this is a big help.

where is the link for this? We are going 4-5-04 - 4-10-04. So please let us know.

I guess that's good news for ALL guest, but I was really looking forward to using EE on the 8th to get a jump on the crowds. I was thinking this would be the best time for my sister's family to do fantasyland without long lines.

I was talking to a friend about my trip today. I told her I was done with all the planning and didn't have anything to keep me busy for the next 7 days. I guess I spoke to soon. pirate:

Oh well, no matter what, I know we'll have a blast.

so no EE to MK that entire week?? I really needed EE as there are many rides we can now finally do (Splash, Space, etc. etc.)

How do you find out this information once you are there?

There is EE during this week. Just from the above post that MK and MGM switched on that one day. If this is not true, let us all know.

...I wonder if it is because the MK will open at 8:00am during that week?

From my understanding, since they are open at 8, EE will be at 7

I also read this somewhere else from a castmember who is a reliable source of info. This really also messes up my plan because I planned on ee , then an early lunch at cp, then out of the park. Now I feel like I will have to swim with all the salmon upstream and not just the disney resort guests who were planning on ee that thurs. I am also wondering like brandon if the resort guests can go at 7. I guess I will fight the masses, the entire masses because I am not giving up the lunch. Its the only good meal of the day that I planned.

To try and help with some confusion that seems to be out there...

EMH is still on for MK Monday April 4th, Monday April 11th and Thursday April 15th. EMH will begin at 7am (April 4, 11 and 15) for resort guests and the park will open at 8am for all day guests.

The only date that EMH has been changed is April the 8th when it will be moved from MK to MGM... (MK will open at 8am to everyone on this day...no early entry for resort guests).

I found this information on our Cast Portal which is a cast member only web site...

LibertyBelle- Thanks SO much for taking the time to post this!! Last minute schedule changes like this are often unavailable until we actually get to the park and pick up our "Times guides" - so it is sooooo nice to have a few extra days notice. Thanks again!!! Jill

April 4 and 11 are both Sundays, not Mondays.

Thank you for pointing that out... That was my mistake... I am still used to MK being Monday (the old days were Mon, Thurs and Sat) I don't work Sunday and Monday in the park so I forget that it got changed...

April 11th should be interesting-it's also Easter. I think we'll plan a non-park day (or go to Epcot).

Great! I have everything in place to do EE that morning at MK!! We have cp that morning too. I am going to be with the masses too! No time to change things around now. Thanks for the heads up.
I knew I should have written things in pencil! lol Where's the white out!?

So is it official? Thursday April 8th, the Early Entry day is now MGM. And that is at 8:00 am, correct?

Kimmie-LOL that's why I do mine on the computer-the delete key is my friend!

Thanks for the heads up. We are planning on meeting friends who are staying off property on the 4th. Now they can come an hour early :), but we will also go an hour earlier. Guess it was a good thing our PS for dinner is at 4:00!

I guess I still can't figure out disneys rationale in doing this. If they know the resorts are at almost peak capacity then what benefit am I getting? I know I am getting an ee day at ONE of the parks , not the one I was planning on and I am sure disney knows most people will flock to the mk. I know they say things are subject to change, but I dont like this change. I have my ps set which I called 2 months ago for and I based my plan on disneys original stated ee days. Heah, I know its disney., but I dont like changing my plans too much. O.K. I do admit I had to do it once when epcot lost power for the day, anyone else remember that day? Ahh..another crimp in my plan. I am almost tempted to call and see what other ps they have on that day somewhere else.
