MK Elements Swap:COMPLETE

I wish I was you today!

I've been thinking about you. We are at Wilderness Lodge. The past two days it has been so cold. At night it is literally freezing. they have been covering the topiaries around the park up.

I would help put the coverings on the topiaries if they would let me stay a few nights. :thumbsup2

I just love the Wilderness Lodge. Other than the Beach Club, I don't see me wanting to stay anywhere else.

Enjoy the rest of your trip!!!

I'm so glad to hear that! We'll be staying at the WL and BC early March. We're splitting our stay because we've never been to WL, and because I LOVE LOVE LOVE the location and the pool at BC. It's good to hear that I'll enjoy my stay at WL!:hyper:

It's been so cold - I haven't seen the electric light show yet. We managed to see Wishes, Spectromagic and Fantasmic. Tonight will be Illuminations. We hope to do the new Kim Possible thing at Epcot this afternoon. We are doing the countries today and maybe TT and Soarin

WL is nice but I don't think I will do it again. But it may be the time of year that I am here.

Now that I have hijacked the thread.....I will go get ready for the parks now

I have my first group ready for prototyping.
Susan~please critique!
Stars are inked for aging effect and pop dotted
White part of mats are also inked. Button is loose so it can be positioned where you like.
Have I met the requirements?

Have you made all these yet? I was thinking a little red - like maybe some inking or a little stripe through the center (between the 2 rows of stars) would tie it in better to the mats.

Both look great as is. And I believe they surely meet the requirements. Am I in that group?:goodvibes

I have made them but there is enough room that I could put a stripe of the matting designed paper in the center because of the pop dotting.
DIT- I know! Its because I never decide until the last minute! I have to stop doing that! I even had AWM try to talk me out of it until I figured my groups would work for DL!

I need opinions please.
Banana and I finally broke out the Cricut! She's doing great with lettering and we want to use it for the Tiki Room group.
What does the topper need to look like? One layer? Shadowing? I need instructions for dummies!
Also, would you in the group prefer "The Tiki Room" or "Tiki Tiki Tiki!"
When we walk by it at DL we always say "Tiki Tiki Tiki"! (like the song).
Thanks!
AR

I am in that group! I like Tiki!Tiki!Tiki!

For this swap the requirement is a title and one other element. Your title can be a topper, signage, letters on shapes, a paper pieced title, individual letters at least 1 1/4 inches with a shadow. Your title can be on a large tag or an altered CD. Let me know if you a different idea.

A topper is 2x8, minimum 2 layers, embellished 2 ways. Your title can be printed or die cut. I count die cut letters with a shadow as one embellishment, if it is not shadowed, then I think it still needs two embellishments. I also consider paper that is glittered or flocked as an embellishment. For other swaps, it is best to check with the hostess.

Signage is pretty much an odd shaped topper -- for example, 4x4 or 3x6, 2 1/2 x 7

Letters on shapes -- the shape should be double matted, unless that just won't work. If the letter is shadowed or pop dotted, then you just need one other embellishment.

This was a good question Rita. It wasn't spelled out very well in the OP. If anyone has done something already that you don't think conforms to this, or if you feel like I have changed the requirements, please send me a pm so we can work this out.

So if she cuts out "TTT" and we have that on a double or triple matted topper thats ok? It doesnt need to be shadowed? We would like to try this on the cricut. And then I'll put another embellie on the topper, right?
I dont think its your instructions, its more of me wanting to be clear and sometimes things dont sink in until the 4th time someone tells me.
"The sky is blue".................."Oh! The sky isssssss blue!" Im dense!
I think Banana liked "TTT' also.

If the words have a shadow, just one other embellishment. If they don't have a shadow, then you need 2 embellishments -- like brads and ink for example. You need at least 2 layers on the topper part -- 2x8 and 1 3/4 x 7 3/4 for example.

Here the dinner time topper -- 2x8 red, 1 3/4 x 7 3/4 checked paper, 7 1/4 x 1 1/4 white. 2 embellishments -- ink and brads. The 3rd layer is just extra, doesn't count as an embellishment and is acceptable without 3 layers.

Delicious counts as signage -- two embellishments = brads & ink

okay this one, 2x8 mettalic, 1 3/4 x 7 3/4 brown -- cricut cut letters, but no shadow, so I still need the 2 embellishments -- the "photo corners" torn paper in the corner and brads

This one has cricut letters with a shadow (I think I used sure cuts a lot for this), so just one othe embellishment, the flowers. I think the layers heres are 2x8 and 7 7/8 x 1 7/8

And in the next one, you can see there is alwyas room for some creativity
IMGP9785.jpg

I don't think this is quite 2x8, it doesn't have two layers on the bottom, but it was inked, popdotted, has a cricut piece and ant buttons onit -- I think AWM was the hostess for this, so I ran it by her before I went with it.

I counted the grass as a layer - so yes you do have two bottom layers for a normal topper, but your "shrunk" has two layers, so you have four layers all together in my counting.
