MK Easter Week - Bad idea???

My DD12 and I are doing a trip down to Florida to visit relatives over her Spring Break 4-12 thru 4-18. We're spending time down near Tampa and since we're platinum passholders with Busch Gardens will make a trek to BG-Tampa and SeaWorld. We've decided (well DD decided) we'd like to do MK as well. we're going to be staying in an Orlando resort the last days of our trip. I'm thinking either Wed or Thursday of that week.

Anyone have any idea how bad it's going to be. We have been to WDW over Christmas holidays and know how crazy that is, are we looking at something similar. We haven't been since 2011, and haven't seen the new additions to MK so that's the reason for our choice.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. (and suggestions for alternate days).

If this doesn't scare you off, it looks like Tuesday or Wednesday would be your best bets.

I think no matter what day we go or where we go are going to be crowded without a doubt. I've been checking out that calendar.. hoping for an update that would put the crowd index at a 2 but I know that's not going to happen.. lol
we'll just go with the flow and enjoy what we can enjoy..

My family and I were at WDW last Easter week and NEVER again!! I didn't even know MK had a grass parking lot well beyond the normal parking lot until we went during this time last year. The Splash Mountain/Big Thunder Railroad area was so packed we could barely move to walk over the bridge area. Also the wait times were all over 120 minutes for the popular attractions and close to 60 minutes or more for other attractions like Small World that are normally a much shorter wait. We had to be very smart with our fast passes and get to the park at opening. We have been to Disney 8 years in a row and this by far was the most disappointing trip when it came to riding attractions and experience Disney "Magic" like we had been able to enjoy in the past.

Don't know why but at least for Monday his hours are off. MK is open till 1am.

We are planning on going on that Monday. I really only have Sunday thru Thurs to pick from and everyday EMH is at 7am and park opening at 8. But the Sunday also has an EMH from 1am to 3am. I'm hoping that lots of people pick that day and then they are too tired to go there Monday.

OP, ya never know. In about 17 trips my best day ever at MK was the sat. before Easter. Of course, this was before FP+ so I don't think I can repeat that but...we're forced to go then because that is our spring break this year. What ya gonna do?
