I've definitely seen this ;) but, really know nothing about it. Any and all information appreciated.
Wondering if there's a schedule? Loading point? Fee? Restrictions? Where does it go?
See. I know nothing! :lmao:

I've never seen the double decker bus as one of the main street vehicles, but it may be.

Any way- this applies to all of the main street vehicles:

1) There are load points all around the entrance to the park, just past the train station (around city hall, over to the theater) Just look for the little signs on the lamp posts

2) They're free/included with ticket cost. Most run only one way (From the train station down to the castle)

3) I've only seen them run in the AM, shortly after rope drop before the crowds get big.

Adding to #2 above, when it gets to the hub area, it unloads. Then will load again there for trip back to town square.

I drove the bus and other vehicles when I worked at Disney. At least way back then, they did not stop midway down the street - only at the ends at the turnarounds. There is one stop for the bus at each end.

I've seen the bus load at the front entrance, right side, of the train station.
and unload by the popcorn stand accross from the castle.
More often have seen the bus at epoct filled with characters....Anyone know is that the same bus?
thanks Steve (sambuster) 217 days to go!

Wasn't there an Epcot double decker bus that road around WS?

Reports were it was a hair raising experience for the driver. :scared1:

I remember it during the rope drop show, before the rope drop show became lame and underrated.

I've seen the one at WS with characters but that's it. I've seen the one at MK but it was unloading a barbershop quartet I think. DD said she noticed a family with a couple of wc riders. Until I read someone's trip report the other day, I didn't realize it was rideable. Of course, we usually go from about 10am to midnight; maybe not doing RD might explain my unawareness!:rotfl:
Thanks for the info. DDs would like this.

Yes I remember riding during the 90's but after that it was used for characters around WS

I remember a double-decker bus from the late 80's/early 90's.

I want to say it was in MK, but it could have been in Epcot...or both. I just remember wanting to ride it, and we never did.

I haven't seen them in a very long time.

I have ridden the double decker bus- it is a Main Street vehicle that you can load onto at either end of the street. Unlike many of the other vehicles it was later in the day when we loaded- I want to say it was about 4pm (after the parade) and we loaded at the castle side of the street. The castle show was starting and so the driver told us we could load on but he wasn't moving until after the show. We watched the show from up there and it gave a different prespective. Only as few people on the bus would be able to see the show from the way it was parked.

I rode the doubledecker bus at Epcot in September '86. We had eaten at Biergarten at 9 and stayed until after 11. Came out and it was pouring rain. The bus was full but 2 British ladies said we could sit in their seats and they would sit in our laps. We all had to get out in the front of WS,so we got drowned, but it was the most fun night at Epcot ever.

I remember double decker buses at both the MK and at Epcot (around world showcase) … you were able to get on/off it at certain countries. Loaded at entrance to WS.

I feel a welcome is in order, Jan, what with your first post ever. But, seeing as you have been around for 9 years already, I'll still welcome you, to the posting side of the dis.
