DH and I are GF, and his parents are planning to meet us for one day of our trip in July at MK. They are both vegetarians, and last time they met us at AK, we had a hard time finding a place to eat that made us all happy. I'm trying to prevent that from happening again. Right now, I'm thinking BoG and CHH, but there are no ADRs left for dinner. The Plaza also looks good, since it's on the less expensive side and we're not on the dining plan. We liked Cosmic Ray's on our last trip, but the veggie sandwich and veggie burger just sound sort of boring.

What do you guys think? Any other suggestions?

I'm not GF, but I am vegetarian.

TS-wise, we always eat at the Plaza. They have a veggie sandwich. I believe I have read elsewhere that they have GF bread so that might be an easy, inexpensive option. I also like Liberty Tree tavern (lunch) - they have a vegan burger with sweet potato fries which is really good.

CS-wise, BoG has a walk-in lunch that would work well for your party. Columbia Harbor House is a CS, so that's why there are no reservations there. I love LOVE them as a vegetarian, adore the Lighthouse Sandwich, but I am not sure about GF eating there. I recall reading that there are shared fryers, which might cause a cross-contamination issue... but again I am not an expert so hopefully someone else can give better input.

We have lots (LOTS) of food allergies in our group and Plaza and Be Our Guest have been fabulous about accommodating. Liberty Tree Accommodates as well - we've never had a problem - but not quite the same top-notch service as the other two. Luckily GF is not a big deal in the World, nor is vegetarian, so you should be good anywhere.

Hope that helps :)

For TS, I'm sure they could do great things for you at the Plaza (LOVE it there GF) and with the variety of ingredients that they have at Crystal Palace I can't imagine that they couldn't come up with wonderful options for all of you. If you don't mind leaving the park, I bet you could get some really nice food over at the Wave (my bad experience there is the only one I've ever read of; most people have amazing experiences there).

For CS, CHH is great. We love the allergy chicken tenders for the GF folks and they have a sandwich that gets great reviews for vegetarians. BOG should be good for either GF or vegetarian as well.

An alternative to CS is to graze around the park. Things like baked potatoes/baked sweet potatoes, fruit, corn on the cobb, I think there may be a vegetarian chili that's GF somewhere (used to be at Main Street Bakery so I'm not sure where if anywhere it is right now), etc can substitute for a meal. For the GF folks, turkey legs are also GF. For the vegetarians, I think there are vegetarian egg rolls across from Aloha Isle. BTW, Dole Whips are safe for all of you.

The above advice is assuming I understand you correctly in that 2 people are GF and another 2 completely different people are vegetarian, right? Nobody is both GF and vegetarian?
