i have had an email saying 5 day cancellation period

We were going to cancel Wednesday night but am I too late to cancel and get a refund? Not sure if they count sat as one day or sat to Sunday as one day if that makes sense

Also did I read if do change the date to later and then cancel?

Thought it was 24/48 hour notice

The stated policy is, "There is a 5 Day cancellation policy. Full price will be charged/forfeited if canceling within 5 Days or no show of the reservation." You are within 5 days, so the cancellation policy would apply. Yes, I learned this the hard way as well. I wanted to cancel ours last December thinking I had 24 hours and I wanted to cancel 3 days before - no go! We ended up going because there was no way I was forfeiting that money and we ended up having a great time. You could call and try to change it. I noticed in my MDE account that there is no "Change Reservation" option with my pre-pay bookings (including our upcoming MK dessert party), so I don't know if that change and then cancel method will work with this type of reservation. I would call Disney Dining and ask if you can change it.

I think at this point your only option is to call and hope for some pixie dust. I don't think you can use the 'change to a later date then cancel' on the prepaid ADRs.
