So we did MK yesterday which was Sat Dec 5. As we all heard recently, parks are running at 35% capacity. I can tell you right now, 2019 running at full capacity this same week was a far greater experience as far as rides are concerned.
2020 - The first hour and half was great! 10min Mine Train, walked on Peter Pan, walked on Haunted Mansion, 10min Thunder Mtn. On way back across park, walked on Winnie the Pooh, walked on Mermaid, then 30min Space Mtn. After that, rides were consistently over 40-60 min for rest of day which we did Pirates and another Thunder. Left early to enjoy our stay at CCV rather than waste anymore time in lines.
2019 - after my 3 FP were spent, I was able to hit Mine train again Thunder Mtn 5x, Space Mtn twice along with single rides on other smaller rides in between all under 30 min except Mine Train. And that’s standby without the one at a time FP.
The only part I currently like is being able to move through the park without being shoulder to shoulder. But I’d much rather hit numerous rides all day and deal with crowds than what I just experienced. I would’ve thought with 35% of the people it would’ve been a more smoother ride operation with lower wait times but that wasn’t the case. FP definitely helped in 2019 but basically with only 3 rides. If FP is not brought back with capacity only increasing from here, it’s not going to be fun.
