How much of a mess is MK right now? I keep seeing all these pictures of construction around the hub and am a little disappointed. How bad is it when you're walking and when is the construction supposed to be wrapped up? Hoping it gets (a little) better when we go next Sat...

I remember going as a kid in the summer and it was prime time - there was never any super obvious construction :sad1:... we leave at the end of this month and I'm SO SICK of seeing construction. It seems like its there whenever we go now!

I agree.. I thought after new Fantasyland was done we would be in the clear, but I guess not :( Fingers crossed it cleans up a bit in the next week or so..

Yeah, the Hub has come along a lot, but it was bad for a while. They are working on the Castle stage and the new restaurant in Adventureland. I don't think there are any scrims up on Main Street for once. Honestly, it's Animal Kingdom where the construction walls are out of control right now!

The construction really isn't bad at all

SO glad to hear this!

I saw photos on another fan page and the castle has a green fence across the entire front and there are tarps on the princess store next to the castle.... We go next week and I am so dissapointed....it looks pretty bad. I guess especially to those of us who remember when disney tried to hide projects and preserve the magic. I

MK is in pretty good shape, construction-wise. The hub is coming along nicely with many new areas open.

Animal Kingdom is the one that seems more affected by construction right now...it's not a mess, exactly, but the amount of walls up for the Rivers of Light and Pandora construction is much more prevalent than anything going on at Magic Kingdom.

Hub construction has been going on forever. Do they have a projected time line when it's supposed to be done?

The castle stage has to be done by mid-September for the first Halloween party. The outer-rim projects were projected to finish later this year,I believe.

Wow, looks a lot worse than when we were there, when it really wasn't noticeable except for the boxes with trees on them. What is/was under the boxes by the castle? We saw them 3 weeks ago

Here's what construction around the Hub looks like at the moment.
Construction is coming along, but it feels as though it's taking forever. Hopefully by end of August they should have it all wrapped up, around the castle anyway

That is really good to hear! We are going during party season, so maybe the castle will be looking a bit better than it is now!

There is always construction, but I look at it this way; I'm on vacation and not at work:)
