MK Character Question

Hi There,
We are busy planning our trip and many of you might think we are crazy but we are kind of planning our days around meeting characters because that is the most magical part of Disney to us.There are so many we want to see and I am slowly learning that most of the ones we want to see can usually be found at the MK near the front entrance. I do know that they have characters at the front gate for most of the day,we plan on getting there at parking open and staying for most of the day. I guess my question is,have any of you really hung around up front for awhile and watched to see if the characters change and how often they change. I am just curious. Also when they have extra magic hour for resort quests,are the characters there that early?? We really want to see all the Robin Hood and Pinocchio ones and also Daisy. And hoping to catch Jiminy and Beast at MGM,just curious as to where all you have seen these.Hope to hear from you all. Thanks ahead of time for your help.

We got Pinocchio and Gepetto at MK near the front also. They were together in the picture. We also saw Robin Hood there at the same time.
Friar Tuck we found at AK at the front of the park. The Beast is at Epcot in France with Belle. Have a great time.

One thing I have noticed - depends on the weather - if warm,,, the characters don't stick around as much or around mingling as if cooler... 60's low 70's no humidity like in the winter months... I would say it depends on the time you go...
Another way to meet your favorite characters would be go to a character breakfast and spend you park time enjoying rides/shows. - That is what we do.. then don't waste our park money on wasteing an hour in line and then be 4-5 out to the character and Mickey has to go in........break time....

We saw Daisy last week at MGM. She was on Mickey Ave. next to JoJo and Goliath. She had her own trailer there.

Beast and Belle were on a street off main street. There were near the end of the street so you could easily miss them walking down mainstreet. It is on the right halfway between the entrance and the castle. This was last Thursday around 845. Hope this helps.

Don't forget you can also ask any CM where a character is and they can call and find out. Toon Town has a lot of character meet and greets, and character meals are great for the more common ones. We have had great luck with chatacter being out front of MK before it opens in the am and yes on EE morning but never seen too many if we come later in the day. The Beast often greets after his show at MGM. We really love it when we chance upon a rare character so don't look too hard!!!

I just want to thank you all for your help. I really appreciate it. We are really hoping for the best,I will try and ask the CM's for the important characters when we arrrive on certian days. Has anyone else ever seen Daisy at MGM, that would be awesome if she has a trailor there and is a normal there,that would be so awesome. Let me know. Also if anyone has pics to share would love to see them. We are getting very excited for our trip and it can't get here soon enough.

Daisy appears on the character bus at Ecpot quite often. As someone said CM can call or you can go to Guest Relations any time after 10 am and they will call and find out if and when a certain character is scheduled to appear. Robin Hood sometimes can be found in the camera shop on Main Street (in the back where the movie plays) MGM often has a lot by the front gate and the hat throughout the day

In Dec. we saw Daisy at Town Square at MK. When we were waiting in line for JoJo at MGM, we were told that Daisy would be coming out at the other trailer.

We also saw Gideon from Pinocchio in Town Square.

We were able to get 50 different characters on our trip.

I'm still working on downloading all of my pictures, but another Disser (I think it's HugsForEeyore) has a wonderful website of character photos that was very helpful to us when we made our autograph book.

We had a great time looking for characters. We're going back in Oct. for MNSSHP to try to get some of the rare characters. Like you, we'll be planning some of our days around finding characters too.

We saw Daisy at camp Mickey and Minnie at AK. got launchpad at MK as you get off the train in toon town. Best advice is to ask the CM's if you have a particular one you want to see. i never found Beast when I was their or any of the other Princes except Aladdin.

Thank you so much for sharing your photos,that definately gives me some hope,the past couple of days trying to figure things out have been out of control. I am trying to decide what to do on our last day,we will need to be back at WL by 2 for our ride to the airport,orginally I was planning on getting up at going to CRT at MK and then spending the day there again,however I am thinking about going to Epcot to see some characters there,not sure what to do,what is your advice,this will be on a Saturday.Thanks.

For us, the only character at World Showcase that we hadn't already found at MK was Beast. We missed the Character Bus though. We did see it going down the road, but it was done for the day. (Actually we were walking along & a CM came up behind us & said to be aware that the bus was coming up behind us ) I got a picture as it passed, and Robin Hood was on it.


IMO, it would depend on how much you want to do CRT. We did both CRT and PSB, and enjoyed them, but we also found all of those characters in the parks easily. We mainly booked the breakfasts to make sure we found all of the princesses. If not for having to make PS for CRT, you could just wait and see which characters you already found, and plan your last day accordingly.
