MK bridal shoot morning of wedding

Just wondering if anyone else has done this and any thoughts on it. We are doing the MK bridal shoot the morning of the wedding, due to time (the need to limit time off work, honeymoon the day after, etc.) and budgeting on hair and makeup appointments and all of that. Basically, hair and makeup at 3am (2 brides, lots of work lol) and getting dressed, picked up at the resort by 6am, hopefully back by 9:30am to nap for a couple of hours, hair and makeup touch ups at noon, put dresses back on, and then going on through the rest of the day for the ceremony at 2:30 and following reception.

Putting the timeline together I am starting to think we're insane, sacrificing sleep for budgets and limiting time off from work...does anyone else have any experience with this? Any advice or thoughts?

I never recommend doing the shoot on the same day or the day after the wedding because you will be exhausted. Also, the hems of your dresses will get dirty because all the streets are wet. (How dirty depends on how wet and how much you're able to pick them up.) But if you have naptime built in and it's really the most financially feasible option, I think you'll be OK. If there's only one day of your life that you have to get up crazy early, it should probably be your wedding day!

Two brides is a lot of work to get ready! That will be one long day, but hopefully between a nap and adrenaline, you'll make it. We did an evening ceremony and reception for our wedding, and we extended the reception an additional hour. Our wedding didn't end until 11:30 PM and we didn't get to sleep until after like 1. We had to be up at 4 AM for hair and makeup for our castle shoot the next morning since we had to be in the lobby no later than 6 AM for pick up. We had an absolutely amazing time, but I won't lie. It was definitely rough. I would do it again though.
