How many pictures are actually included with the package, and what size are they.

I sold my fiance on a DFTW with pictures of someones bridal shoot, and that's all he is thinking about.

He doesn't care about the price, and I don't either really since they're memories and great photos, I'm just wondering how many photos we're actually getting for $800.

Also do you get to pick the pictures, or do they do it for you?

This is from the website, but I'm sure brides who've done it will reply.

magic kingdom portrait session - $800
Includes:

Pick up at 6:00 a.m. in the lobby of your Walt Disney World® Resort hotel
Portrait session at Cinderella Castle and Cinderella's Golden Carrousel
A 12-print 4x5 white Disney-themed folio

(Session is for bride and groom only, one (1) session available per day)

We had the MK bridal portrait in June 2005. The $800 is correct.

We had about an hour to do our photos - we were given a disc with all our images on it (good enough to post on web - not high res enough to print) as well as 4x6 proofs of each pic. I think there were 75 in total. We loved our photographer and I am so glad we did this. The 12-photo folio/album is something that Disney picks 12 shots out and puts them in. The only thing that sucks about it is that they used some crazy adhesive so I actually can't remove the photos they put in it. Since it's been over a year, I imagine they may have changed a little - you can always ask.

We had photos in front of Cinderella Castle, with Walt & Mickey in the hub there, in the breezeway of the castle, inside the little room with throne and fireplace, the carousel, the wishing well fountain, and on some steps on the back of the castle. Some brides have had luck getting an extra speecial location (they won't guarantee that though). We had time to get a few quick shots on Main Street - my fave!

You should speak with whoever you are working with in FTW about scheduling your shoot. HTH!

That is correct! :thumbsup2 The time depends on what you schedule. Our MK shoot was at 5:30am. You get a hour for photos and the price is still $800. You receive a 12-print 4x6 white Disney-theme folio and your photograher picks out 12 prints for you. Of course, they were all the ones I didn't like...haha! Oh well...they pick based on theme of the photos. I also did not receive any CD...just the 12-print folio and a 4x6 copy of each print in a box. I just had my MK photos shoot on June 10, 2006, so this is recent info. :)

Thanks so much ladies!

When I seen the 12 print folio thing, I was making a quick judgement that ALL we would get is 12 prints.

I'm assuming you can re-order larger/extra prints directly from Disney?

I know my mom really wants a large one with the castle in the shot, that is all she's been talking about every time I talk to her.

So they used to give you proofs and the cd, and now they don't? :confused3 I hate to think that 12 is all you get....:sad2:

Thanks. I saw that when I reread fairytalebride's post. Must've read it too fast the first time.

Is there any option to buy a CD? That totally stinks that you don't get one anymore. My family shares photos online constantly and that would be a great thing to have :(

You can buy a high res CD but I think it is around $1,000.00 or so. If you wait 3 years then DFTW reduces the price. I think if you are a UK bride you get the CD automatically... I could be wrong but its something like that.

Hope that didn't sound too snippy because I didn't mean it that way :goodvibes

Yeah...the CD is expensive!! I didn't buy it. You get all the photos as 4x6 prints, so technically the 12 that are in the album folio are doubles...know what I mean? The 12 photos don't come out of the album because they are glued in! :) I had plenty of photos from the shoot...even doubles because the photos were so similar!! :) Yes, you will receive many order forms for your family and you to order whatever you'd like!! I'm getting a 11x14, wallets, etc. You can order almost anything...including thank you cards, playing cards, etc! Tons and tons of options!! :)

Can you print your own copies with the CD that you buy for a grand??

Yep, you can do whatever youd like with them!! Share them , print them offline, print them in a store etc.

Thanks so much again!

Playing cards with my picture on them!!
Now there's a idea!

One last question.
:wizard:
Do you get those prints after you get home, or are they like next day/2 day service?

Our wedding will be right in the middle of our trip, so we'll have 4 days after the ceremony we will still be in Disney.

That's the last question..
I think :sunny:
