Hello!

8 days out and I'm questioning everything. We will be rope-dropping Frontierland/Adventureland on our MK day and would like to have a leisurely breakfast on Main Street USA before the park opens. I've heard that the Main Street Starbucks is a madhouse at that time of day and would like to avoid it. Are there any other options? I've heard conflicting reports that there are Mickey waffles on the menu at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor(!).

Also, following breakfast, would it be smartest to go straight for Big Thunder/Splash and then Jungle Cruise, since there's not much we want to do over by BTMRR besides the rollercoasters? Or is it better to do Jungle Cruise first, then the Mountains, and backtrack to Adventureland later in the day for the anytime attractions? Or does it not matter much? For what it's worth, my husband would prefer to not go on a rollercoaster first thing in the morning, thankyouverymuch.

Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

There is no such thing as a "leisurely breakfast on Main Street USA before the park opens." If you are wanting to take advantage of the lower crowds at rope drop the best thing for you to do is eat an early breakfast at your hotel before you arrive. If you want a leisurely breakfast at MK a pre-park opening ADR at Crystal Palace or CRT would do. Although I would not list Crystal Palace as relaxing in any way (although I like it) and it is likely too late for reservations at either.

To beat crowds, I'd go to Big Thunder and Splash first thing then backtrack to Jungle Cruise. But if it is going to make things less enjoyable for your husband that should be considered. What are your fastpasses for that day? You could FP Splash and Big Thunder and that would allow you to start at Jungle Cruise and just work your way around.

Sometimes after a busy rope drop morning we sit down and relax with Dole Whip Floats...this beats breakfast for us and usually we are in fact leisurely because few take a break at this time. MainStreet is crazy in the morning and Starbucks is indeed a madhouse.

Hope you have a great trip!

If you’re going on a 9AM park opening morning, you can use that “hour early on Main Street” time for a leisurely/slower paced breakfast. The Starbucks isn’t bad if you get there first thing - like right when they let you on Main Street (which will be in the 7:45-8ish typically). But that line does grow really fast and it moves slower than any Starbucks IRL, in my experience, so watch out.

I did this last weekend - got a coffee, breakfast sandwich, and sat at the tables in front of the Plaza and enjoyed the sites and sounds of the MK. It’s a great way to start the day if you have it timed well.

I’m sorry, I’m not up to speed on the other food options at Casey’s and such and which ones are open.

When ready for RD, I’d position yourself at the bridge to Liberty Square, head to BTMR, then start back-tracking.

Have fun!

BTW, my view while enjoying coffee on that particular morning! :-)

Unfortunately, they've taken all the breakfast offerings away; The Plaza no longer serves anything for breakfast. However, other than Starbucks, there should be a Joffrey cart somewhere that has pastries and coffee (and HUGE donuts!).

I think you'll be okay doing Jungle first, then heading to Splash and BTMRR. Your waits at the two mountains will be a little longer than heading there first, but Jungle Cruise would be longer if you do it the other way. Splash tends to build a little faster than BTMRR, but remember, you might get a little wet on Splash, so take that into consideration.

I would recommend eating something at your resort or hitting up Starbuck's right when you enter (yes, the line will probably be long). We like to go to Starbuck's and sit in front of Casey's (as GADisneyDad14 mentioned above). We've met quite a few mommy and baby ducks there! I would, personally, head right for BTMRR and Splash and then backtrack to Jungle Cruise. We've done this many times and it's worked out well for us.

My DD LOVES those insane donuts (she does NOT share either LOL), but we've only found them at AK. I know there's a Joffrey's cart outside ToT, but never thought to look to see if they have the donuts (any my fave, the peach tea) there! Anyone know? And anyone know for sure if there are similar carts in HS or Epcot that we've somehow missed? That would be great!!

Between JC, BTMRR, and Splash, whatever order you do it is probably fine. The line doesn’t build up super quickly for any of them (not a whole lot of people head that way first thing- the majority head to 7DMT, PP, or Space Mtn.)

Grab something on the way. WDW really seems to dislike any breakfast that does not involve a lot of money and characters. I would go do Splash Mountain 1st, one because of the later wait times and two that ride is a bit flakey if you wait and its in one of its moods it will go down for several hours on you. Better to get it done early.

There's also one in HS across from the entrance to TSM.

There are several in EP: one near TT, one just before you get to Mexico as you come from Future World, another one near American Adventure.

As to the one on Main St, you'll have to look for it. When they first changed the MK opening to inside, it was on the hub somewhere. It is not a permanent structure, but a real cart that they bring in and out.

We have gone JC then BTMR than Splash the last two years which works out well for us. We have ridden BTMRR twice as walk on / 5 min wait and then had a 10-15 min wait on Splash. As long as you’re not going on a really busy day it works just fine to hit JC first.

I can’t help you with breakfast other than to say that you should get something before heading back to Frontierland. There is not much in the way of breakfast offerings back there.

Good grief!! I am evidently oblivious to my surroundings!!! LOL Well thanks for the info! My DD will be thrilled!
