MK Barbershop

First I want to thank everyone for the posts about the MK barbershop especially around first haircuts. My DS(1) got his first haircut there and everyone was wonderful. It was everything everyone said it was AWESOME. I want to add one thing, though. Many of the posts discussed colored hair gel for the kids. Well, my DH(36) got his hair cut there and Maura put glow-in- the- dark hair gel on his ears, eyebrows and around the base of his hairline AND bright green hair gel on top of his head and used it to make a hidden mickey on the back of head. She sprinkled in a fair amount of pixie dust for good measure. So for all you "kids" out there that never grew up don't be shy to ask for the hair gel. He loved all the attention he got from other guests and cast members for the rest of the day. He glowed in the dark on the dark rides for the next 3 days, but the green washed out right away. WHAT FUN!!!!

How did the glow in the dark last so long? (or shouldn't I ask?????)
we plan on having DS's cut there and he would love it!!!! although I think I might like the glow in the dark gel too!!! do you think they sell it?

Oh--you can ask. He washes his face everyday, ears too. It faded as time went on but you could always tell in the blacklight.

Don't know if they sell the hair gel--but I look at it like this--just get a haircut everytime you visit - it will be a treat to look forward to.

just a little note that although it says Barbershop that does not mean it is strictly for boys. My DD8 got her hair trimmed and had pixie dust sprinkled. She thought she was SOOOOO Cool, and I dont think she could stop smiling even if she wanted to. So for families out there without boys they do cut hair for little girls.

My son got the Glow-in-dark Gel!
The Barber put it on his nose, ears, eyebrows and chin too.

It was a lot of fun! Well worth the $20 dollars.
