From what I've seen its because of poor sales. It just hasn't been selling really at all.

I am also hoping that this lasts until July. I am DVC and have an AP, do you think they will give it to me for 75% off?

That definitely has something to do with it. This was short notice and people planning vacations plan months sometimes years in advance.

If they offered this at say $50-$70 for everyone, I think they'd probably hit their 3,000 (rumored) cap and still make a similar amount of $ (aside from more people eating Mickey bars and drinking Coke) than the 1,000 (rumored) that have been going (assuming all of those 1,000 paid $150) but the perception would be more positive.

Personally, I'd love to do this, but $300 is more like $400 to me and I can't afford that regardless of value.
But $100-$140, I could probably swing that.

I would totally do this for $75. DW and I were talking about it yesterday. If it is still happening in July, we will probably do it (we have APs).
