MK advice needed

My daughter and I will be travelling to Orlando in 2 weeks. We plan to spend one day at MK. Which day we go will depend on weather forecast. If we know 2 days ahead of time, Should we still buy our tickets when we go for rope drop? And when / how do we book FP+ at that point? And how likely are we to get the rides we want? Are FP+ booking up for any rides ahead of time?

If it were me I'd purchase the tickets ahead of time to avoid the morning lines at the ticketing windows. Once you've entered the park you'll need to go to a FP+ kiosk (or an iPad-toting CM) to book FP+ but be prepared -- these lines can get long as people try to figure out the system. There's a good likelihood that you'll be able to get the rides that you want and Enchanted Tales with Belle is the one MK attraction that is "selling out" fast.

MBs aren't replacing tickets - they're a way for onsite visitors to access their tickets. If you were to buy online, I would assume that your only options would be to have them sent or to pick them up at Will Call, because tickets are now all RFID-enabled, which means they're a plastic card.

If you're staying on property, you definitely want to purchase your tickets ahead of time so that you can pre-book your FP+ reservations before you arrive. And even if you're not, you're going during peak crowd season, so I think it would be much easier to already have your tickets when you arrive.

If you're not going to MK your first day in Orlando, consider buying your ticket at Downtown Disney (hint: parking is easier in the morning or early afternoon, if it's a weekday). Same price as in the parks, so no delay to your MK rope drop.
