I didn't watch the service, but the various news reports say that the casket was carried onto the stage by his brothers. Was that really true, or did they just guide it on a rolling bier?
According to the Batesville Casket Company, the "Promethean" casket is solid cast bronze, and so heavy that it normally requires extra pallbearers to carry it, and a CRANE to lower it safely into a gravesite. If 5 men managed to actually carry the thing, then it had to have been empty, and probably stripped of the liner and upholstery, too.
