Mixology class on Dream?

Our class was very different as well. The bartender said they have a standard menu, but he was going to do things differently. He made about 10-15 different drinks. I can't remember them all, but my favorites were the four made with Kaluaha. We had small samples of them all. Then, he brought back two of us to create our own drinks and serve to everyone. There were only 6 people in our class...which was nice.

I never knew this was an activity on the ships! Sad but true, I have always wanted to take a mixology class. I'll be checking this out on our upcoming cruise in August.

They definately offer the mixology class on the 3 day Dream cruises. We did it on a 3 day in Jan. It was really fun!

We made Sex On The Beach, B52 shots, Mojitos, Cosmos, and one more I can't remember. Maybe it was the last one :rotfl2:

We've been on four cruises so far, attended the Mixology class on every one, and intend to attend on every future cruise as well.

That being said, we were a bit disappointed with the class on the Fantasy last week. There were two dozen or more folks in attendance and they moved it from Skyline to Meridian. Of course, with that many people, only a few got to actually go up and make a drink. :worried:

The CMs said they were trying out different things to allow bigger groups and said they were thinking about having 5 people at a time go up behind the bar next time. I guess time will tell.

I just hope it stays the same on the Dream, as that's the ship we sail the most!

I attended the Mixology class on the 3 night Dream cruise in February. We had a blast! And we ALL got to make each and every drink. He explained the different terms used at bars and even made us his specialty. We also got to go behind the bar and make our own Martinis. It was great. I will most definitely do it again on the Magic this August.

I did Tequila also last August. I left that one a little more than tipsy. We had 3 half shots of tequila + 2 full size margaritas each. This was in the space of about an hour.

If the classes are kept small, that's how it is. When they sign up 24+ people for one class, it completely changes the experience. :(

I was wondering do they still offer the class on the 4 day dream

Mixology is offered on both the 3 day and 4 day on the Dream in Skyline..It is a wonderful experience. sign up at GS when you get on the ship. Very worth it..

Has anyone done a recent mixology class on the dream 4 day cruise ? What drinks did you make and how much was it ?

Over the last 6 years and 4 cruises, I've done mixology on all of them. The theme between each is that everyone is different but typically you'll recognize a couple of old favourites (possibly with Disney names) and a couple of ones that are less known. I've enjoyed every one. Both Disboards group arranged and solo arranged. I think the price is about $25.

You made 5 regular size drinks and drank all of them for $15.00 ?
This was the set up at the beginning of our Mixology class.

You can see 4 different glasses there, and they added another one, once the first one was used. I think we paid $20 for our Mixology.

They divided our group into five groups. Each group made one drink for 5 people. We each had 5 drinks to drink. Well, some of us did. I sipped.

Most of the drinks are not regular size.

We did a private Mixology class on the Wonder on Friday... we had a group of 13 and each had four mini drinks, a shot, and a full size drink.

Oh, and I was started off with a shot of tequila since we were celebrating my 50th birthday. ;)

Anyway, the mini drinks were ready and waiting for us, and then we took turns in groups of 3 making full size versions of the minis... and racing to see who could finish theirs first!

I've done Mixology on all 8 of my Disney cruises and wouldn't miss it for anything!
