We are looking to add on. All our current contracts are at the same resort same UY. We are looking to add on a new resort to be only used at that resort.
We are not finding anything with the same UY as our current contracts.
My question is - How hard is it to manage contracts with different UYs ?

It takes some attention to detail but I haven’t found it to be as big of deal as some make it out to be. I’ve got 4 different use years and just keep track of the various deadlines in a spreadsheet.

From reports I've read, it seems that using those points only at that resort makes it much easier than trying to use those points together with points from other UYs. It's a separate membership (although it's accessed from the same member website login) so you just manage it as a separate account.

I have 1 contact separate UY from my others. As long as I use it for separate trips, not a big deal. If I want to combine, it's a little harder...either a split stay, a continuing stay request, or a transfer is required.

Just to clear up the language, though:

You cannot "add-on" with a different UY. You can add additional points but it is a separate membership, not an "add-on" - which typically means you are "adding on" to a "master" contract which keeps everything under one membership and makes it easier to pool points (at 11 months for the same home resort or 7 months for different home resorts).

Gotcha… You are correct… We are buying additional points. I was just generalizing Add-on. We are not looking to ever pool points so we should be good. The other question I had was also answered above… I can still log on with one website ID and manage both accounts. Appreciate everyone’s help. We had been looking for the perfect Resale contract (Points, price, UY) Now we can expand by looking for a couple UYs.

We have two different UY and haven't had any problems. We decided our non-WDW resort would be one UY and our WDW ones the other. However it does feel like it is hard to find our October UY and easier to find our June.

This is the key. The only complication is that you have to remember two banking deadlines. I have one small contract in a different use year that I only use for a weekend at Food & Wine.
