Anyone stayed here recently?

I'm planning a trip for early December for our friends.

All the Epcot resorts were booked -- this is where we always stay. Love the proximity to Epcot & MGM.

Anyway -- the Swan is available for half of the stay -- the other half I booked them at AKL.

I've checked out some sites that didn't give the Swan very positive reviews.

Any feedback?????

Thanks soo much.

If you do a search on this board you will find many threads on the Swan. As with anything subjective, some people will like it and others won't.

We have stayed at the Swan three times and it has been great. I've seen some of the reviews, but can honestly say that we have never had any problems. Staff was always great and location can't be beat. The beds are terrific!

Hi jpmom,

We were at the Swan a year ago (August) and enjoyed every minute of it. The concierge desk (for ALL guests) was great as was the Disney desk next to it. And then there are the beds!! The Grotto pool is very big and not crowded at all - also a lap pool for both Swan and Dolphin. Very good coffee at the Lobby Court Lounge in the AM. Be sure to check out the Dolphin lobby and Dolphin Fountain, an ice cream parlor on par with B&C. You can have packages sent back to either hotel. Just can't charge back to room except for Swan/Dolphin locations. Oh, a small thing, but the elevators are the "fastest gun in the West".

Have a most magical trip!!

I agree with Peg and Bob. We've stayed at the Swan and the Dolphin. Both are fantasic resorts. I would stay there in an instant. The location, ammenities, Grotto pool, restaurant selection, etc, etc, etc. You can also get a room with a view of the nightly fireworks from Epcot and even a balcony. I would not worry at all about staying there.

We have stayed at the Swan more than 10 times!! We love it, it's kinda like our "home away from home" in WDW!

Some people feel it doesn't have that "Disney magic" but I just totally disagree, the CMs are just great there as is the whole atmosphere. There are tons of awesome views of WDW...Epcot, MGM, the Epcot resort area and you can even see the "Tree of Life" on the horizon looking west. Quite frankly we have stayed in many of the WDW "owned" deluxes and "some" of them I have to say have "lacked" that magic. I know there are those that disagree with me, but hey, that's what these boards are for, to express your opinions or to give information. Any questions on the S/D?? Ask away:)

We stayed at the WL in August and although it was a nice change I missed staying at the Swan (and I really missed my "heavenly bed")..so I am so looking forward to our trip next week to our "home away from home".

finnie48-I TOTALLY agree on the elevators!! When we were at the WL, everytime we got on the elevator I kept thinking to myself, "these are not nearly as fast as the S/D's elevators!" LOL!!

:teeth: Add us to the list of very satisfied Swan/Dolphin families

Most of our favorite reason have already been listed here. Beds, location, location, pool, Heavenly beds, location :rotfl:

we've never had a bad stay!

Stayed there a couple of years ago. Liked it very much. We're actually trying to get some kind of deal there for the huge group we have going in January.
