Mixed party on/off DDP -any issues?

We are going for a last-minute trip in May, along with my ILs who haven't been to WDW in many years. The ILs are on the DDP, and we are not - we usually do a table service meal or two, but with our kids we find that the flexibility and casual nature of QS restaurants are best for us.

We would like to do one big sit-down meal with the ILs and my question is this: are there any issues, either in making an ADR or at the time of the meal, with having a party that is partly on the DDP and partly paying OOP? We'd have automatic gratuity regardless since there will be 8 of us.

You do NOT have to worry about this at the reservation stage. When you get to the restaurant, make your server aware before you order (not after - they need to be able to ring the DDP orders up separately from the non-DDP orders) who is paying with DDP and who isn't.

The only caveat is if you are choosing Cinderella's Royal Table or a dinner show, which are prepaid. Not sure how Disney handles some of the party paying and some using dining credits at the prepayment stage.

They will automaticallyadd in the tip with groups of 6+, but that has nothing to do with the DDP.
