Filbert the Loser checking in for the morning. Now I'm obsessing that he was so mad at the end of last week's call (he sure sounded mad) that he's not going to entertain the idea of a second chance.

At least there was an excellent show on the National Geographic Channel about "The Madness of King Henry VIII" last night to keep my mind occupied. And Heroes, too.

I read that as Filbert the Lobster for some reason and I was wondering what I was missing. You're not a loser. Or a lobster. He wasn't mad. He was just flustered. Plus, you don't care if he calls back or not, remember? You have nothing to lose, you made the move and that's what matters because at least you tried.

I just took my sister to school late. She wouldn't get up and I was sick of screaming at her so I gave up and went back to bed. We won't tell the parents about this one when they get home.

If I spend enough time out in the sun this summer, I will be a lobster. I burn right away. I had 6 second degree sunburns by the time I turned 18. One time, I applied SPF 50 sunblock every two hours and I still burned that badly. I'm grateful that the one I had down the side of my face didn't leave any scars.

My parents have a vacation home on the beach so we used to go there a lot and I would always have to sit under an umbrella because I burn so easily. I don't think I've ever had second degree burns though!
