They'll smell fine until about an hour after I put on my shoes in the morning. The stench has permeated my insoles. I forgot to buy foot spray at the store yesterday.

Right now I'm wearing my Sketchers mary janes...it's not quite warm enough for flip-flops. But these shoes have to be worn without socks, so they end up stinking, even though they're mesh. Once I change to flip-flops, my feet will be able to air out.

Crocs has some really cute new styles. I think I'm gonna look into buying a new pair soon.

Good morning gang.


IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO READ ABOUT DD's RODEO, PLEASE SKIP THIS POST!!

For those of you who were wondering. DD's rodeo literally came down to the last catch of the day. If dd did not catch her calf, then she was out of it. In that event, they get to carry two ropes and have 30 seconds to leave the shoot, track the calf and take their shot. Dd came out and threw her first loop, it basically went around the calf's head, but not the neck, so she was trying to fish it on, but the calf was too fast and made a sharp turn. The announcer then said "Oh too bad she was only carrying one rope, her time's up"

I was like: She always carries two ropes?!?! But then I saw dd grab her other rope, which is tied to the saddle, and chase the calf into position and throw her loop. This time it landed perfectly, but you still have to stop and back your horse to make the rope pop off of the saddle and by this time she was in the corner. But she scooted around and got that horse backed up and the rope flew off. Yay for her.

However, the girl that went after her was only one point behind her. Sooo, if she catches her calf, dd is out of it. I was completely torn. There was no way I was going to root against that other girl, but of course you want your dd to do well too. Ugh!! Well, the other girl didn't catch her calf.

SO, long story short: DD is going to the Wrangler National Finals in Gallup, NM in July. btw, the other girl qualified to go in another event, so I felt much better! whew
p.s. I'm copying and pasting this to another thread I post on, so if you're a stalker and see it twice, sorry about your luck.

I've been listening to "Strong Enough" by Cher...more for getting over my anger at my loser ex, but it gave me some incentive to call Ken. I can assure you, you'll all be the first to know. I'm feeling optimistic at the moment; I can't imagine that he won't call back, unless I was too forward and he's wondering why I can't do it in person (although I think I sort of explained in my message).

But I was a day early...my horoscope for today says "Singles should take initiative in romance." I took the initiative YESTERDAY!
