Mixed Nuts Part 2

Really? Wasn't like that for me and mine was mostly highway driving :headache:

My drive usually took me an hour on a good day but if it snowed.....hooboy, I was easily looking at 2 hours

I guess I'm looking at it mathematically...If it took me double the time, that's still barely 15 minutes, which isn't so bad. But 40 minutes...that's almost 6x as long as normal. And it's not like I speed on a normal day either.

See, here, the highways are cleared by the state plows, but the town streets are done by town plows. The state was out all night, I'm sure (my ex worked for the DOT and there were times that we'd go almost a week without seeing each other). The town roads, though, had barely been touched. Maybe once. So that slows everything down.

It was the rubbernecking that caused my delays :sad2:

People just don't seem to know how to drive in the winter :rolleyes1

Good Morning Nutters,

We are having a nice morning out here in Southern California, blue skies and high 60's

Tomorrow is my first day at my new school so I'm a little nervous, but not really.

Good luck today, I have a feeling you will do great.

Didn't mention Goofster's name in that list cause he's in some kind of weird time zone :confused3

So what is it you are trying to say there Heidi?...:confused3

I worked this weekend and had to miss my daughters swim competition

There will be more. At least I didn't have to get up at 5:00 am :crazy2:

I remember those days, can't say I miss them

Jean,
Thanks for breakfast, looks so much better than the Oatmeal I had this morning

What a lousy day. It took me 40 minutes to get to work (normally it's 7 minutes) because of the snow.

Oh I feel your pain on this..:headache:

All this math is hurting my head this morning

Good Morning Nutters,

Uh...nuttin' much

Just that you probably wouldn't have been on when I was posting so I didn't include your name :flower3:

Busy day today?

I'm workin' on my suzy duties :headache:

I'm thinking it's one of those Freudian things;

weird time zone=weird Goofster...:rotfl2:

I have trouble getting up at 7 :sad2:

I am usually up at 5 a.m. every day including weekends, but the last month or two it's been getting harder and harder to get out of bed. I think the "Snooze Button" on the alarm is one of the worse invention of all time

Busy day today?

Not even a little, should be able to catch up on a lot of Dissin today...:woohoo:

Same with my DH and....that's just crazy :crazy2:

Blech

Gotta love those days

There are days when I wish I didn't own a vehicle. All I seem to do is drive my girls everywhere :headache:

My mother would sympathize. She remembers what it was like before I turned 16 - she had to drive not only me, but also my grandmother everywhere (Gram never got a license). When I was 14, Grandpa had several strokes and he got to be a bit dangerous behind the wheel, so Mum basically drove all of us everywhere for 2 years. The day I turned 16, we went to the DMV to get my permit, then headed to an empty parking lot where I got my first lesson!

OMG...middle of the night! I barely make it up by 7 to be at work for 8!

Darn it...my hairdresser just called. Due to the weather, I am her only client for today that didn't call off. So of course, she doesn't want to go in just for one person (I don't blame her at all...I'm not mad). So I won't be getting my purple hair until next week.

Good things come to those who wait, right?

And Blue ... I still haven't received your card ... :rolleyes1
Ask her if she put enough postage on it. That can sometimes cause a problem. Right, Bluester? ;)

Liz....sorry bout the stressful day. You should post a picture of your hair next week. It sounds interesting!

Goofster...I'm with ya on the less math in the morning thing. :sad2: How about we have a NO math in the morning policy? Not that I'm ever here during the day, but it would make me feel better to know that all of you are refraining from math.

The photographer wasn't into taking the picture, but here I am in my cobweb dress:

It's too bad, because for once, I felt really pretty. All my mother said was, "You look like Stevie Nicks." Which makes sense; she's sometimes called the Godmother of Goth.

Where/when did the event of the cobweb dress take place, Liz? Sorry, you may have said it, I skimmed. Anyway, you look very pretty, thanks for sharing!

And speaking of pictures....

I have some pictures to share. Being the picture taking maniac that I am I took like 500 pictures while I was down there so I'll try to keep it limited. A mini trip report. Because we all know I am not a goog candidate for writing actual trip reports.

This was the view from our room at the Polynesian.
Straight ahead:

My Cast Member lanyard and pins may have found their way into my suitcase. I really couldn't say. :rolleyes1

New Year's Eve aka my birthday. Yes, I really did need to have that thing on my head. We had a whole bunch of them but I was the only one who would wear it. I can't imagine why, I thought it was stylish.
PICT0060.jpg

Oh. On the left is my friend Eren, then me, then Hollywood (duh), then the baby sister, then my other friend Steph who was actually the person who convinced me I wanted to be a Montessori major interestingly enough.

PICT0015.jpg

We brought a guy friend with us to see Anastasia at 1900 Park Fare and he proposed to her as a joke. It went VERY well!

I just love this picture because she is literally flying through the air.
PICT0012.jpg

And that seems like a good note to end on. Hope I didn't bore y'all, I just wanted to share some of what I was doing over break!

I have a billon pictures of SpectroMagic and the Osborne lights but I'll spare you.

Disclaimer: I really was working the entire time I was there and I was only staying in a hotel because my parents were there paying for it and who wouldn't!

Guess I'll hit the sack. I can barely keep my eyes open.
Be sure to fluff your pillow first Blue!

Just popping by to say good morning and have a great day!!

1. Careful....

2. Hey now, the hotel was 65% off too because they give us all kinds of extra stuff during the holidays. So there. :snooty:

JoJo has her learners permit and can take the test in March for her license but I'm pretty sure she won't be ready :scared1:

You had a lovely view :thumbsup2

Lucky duck on the CM lanyard & pins :wizard:

My girls like wearing those little hats too. In fact, my youngest insisted I buy her a princess one in October for her birthday so she could wear it to school :sad2:

What's the winking face for? You got a thing for pillows? :rolleyes1

Working (again, too often, too much). Also, DS12 interviewed his great-grandfather on video for a school project and I'm working on moving that from DV tape to a DVD.
