My
it is warm in So Cal!
...did I tell you I shop for all my own gifts?
Somehow, every year, I get exactly what I've wanted!

What a racket you've got going...I should try that....then
I know I would get that Hooters gift certificate I ask Santa for every year...
1. Yes, most years 'DH' is a
very generous gift giver!
2. Hmmm..exactly why DH is not encouraged to shop for his own gifts!

Here's a quick rundown of my week last week:
Sunday -- off to the Chiefs/Chargers game with 3 of my sons -- in the 60s the day before, in the 50s the day after, in the 30s the day of the game! Fortunately, we were in the shade with the wind blowing so it felt even cooler.
Monday --
my oldest son got to suit up with the "A" squad for his high school basketball game. He got to play the last 2.5 minutes of the game when his team was already down by 25.
.....
Wednesday --
sick at home -- still did about 3 hours of work that day -- also got to watch "A Day at the Races" and "A Night at the Opera" on Turner Classic Movies channel that day although I was fading in and out of sleep as I was fighting off my fever.
...
I always give windows and doors for Christmas gifts!
...
Awwww, and here I figured I didn't really miss anything this past week.
Happy 29th Birthday Jean!

1.

For your DS
Boo! to the coach for not putting him in sooner! Tell him/her I said so!
And we all know what a pigskin strategist I am!
2. Sorry you were under the weather, Rob-bo! You should've paid a visit to Liz's office.
Bet those open windows & frigid weather would've made short work of yr fever!
Great to picture you enjoying those old Marx Bros movies, though!
3. This explains sooo much!
4. Ahh, Rob, I'm just so touchy about turning 30!
does anyone hear thunder, see lightening?
Well, I cant stop listening to Ever Ever After. I want to see Enchanted so badly but I dont want to go to a movie theatre. Im kinda scared of getting stuck to the floor or seats.
Have fun shopping!!!
Okay, you're chewing gum?
Have you finished yr shopping FTL?

I think a work friend has a crush on me. This is a bit awkward.
Jean (and anyone else with a nail polish obsession): I've gone Christmas-y with the nails. China Glaze Outta Bounds (shimmery emerald green) with OPI Design (holographic gold) on top.
1. I like workplace crushes, actually inspires me to show up.
Uh, except for the freakin' stalker when I was in my 20's!
2. Yr manicure sounds
terrific! Truly inspired!
The DIS is always full of people willing to help. Granted, half the time they don't know what they're talking about, but they'll offer help regardless! Hope the doggie's feeling better.
Ooohhh...how festive!!

My friend's birthday is on Saturday and she's never had a manicure.

You just made me realize what I should get her. Manicures Saturday afternoon, anyone?
Lovely photos, Goofster, thanks for sharing.
How was everyone's Monday? We had a luncheon today at school. Parent volunteers came in and took our kids to lunch and recess which we normally have to do and then they fed us! It was so nice. We got a whole hour without the kids and we normally only get 20 minutes for lunch. It was definitely much appreciated.
Thanks PJ. Zippy seems much better, but he has a vet app't anyway, more for my peace of mind.
Great birthday present PJ! She's gonna love it!
They do the Teacher Appreciation Day here, too. It's a great event, with a lot of participation!
Ummm, Hi! I have to confess that I clicked on this thread by accident, but then the pics of the mountains caught my eye. Goofster--do you live in Riverside county by any chance? Just curious what mountains those are as they look familiar. I grew up in that area.
Welcome
