Great, Ms. Sunshine is home. I swear, my mother never says two words to me anymore without snapping. She didn't even notice that I'd cleaned the leaves off the sidewalk or worked on straightening up the porch some more.

At least she didn't notice the disturbed earth under one of her shrubs. I found a dead bird when I was blowing off the leaves and I didn't want to leave it for cats or anything else to get at, so I buried it. Yeah, I'm a softie.

That freaking rocks!

Well, I have been trapped in a room for an hour and 57 minutes now, and...as much as I adore my dog, I don't know how much more of this shrieking I can take. She has the most shrill, eardrum-piercing bark. It sounds like she is being tortured. I am sitting not 5 feet from the TV and I can't hear it.

Now she's trying to dig or chew the carpet out from under the door. Or she's chewing the door, I can't tell. She's so worked up that she's hot; she feels like she's burning up.

Okay, cruel, but I think it's kind of funny. I took off my slippers a while ago...Tara laid down and rested her head on top of one of them. 2 seconds later she made a face, got up, and turned in a different direction. Hey, I just got these slippers out a week ago! They couldn't stink that badly already!

Okay, we're sprung now. No more barking.

I'm off to KJ's school I'm driving them to a field trip. It's to the local newspaper. That should really keep me awake

Halloween was kind of boring for us. The kids are old enough to go out on their own now and we don't get trickortreaters where we live.

Yeah, but it's huge enough and it would have been just that much bigger on Monday. I'm really irked...they apparently didn't touch any of my region's orders for 3 days. I shouldn't be surprised that I'm so swamped.

I will get out of the office for a couple of hours this afternoon for a trip to the dentist's office where the world's cutest dental hygienist will clean my teeth.
