I say make it 20 mins. :thumbsup2

That sounds like a good compromise. Plus I don't have to lead all of them. Maybe that way I could designate 30 minutes for each conference so I can have a little break in between/allow for them to run over. It's good to see you back around, Michele.

Exactly! You need a little break in between, plus some might run longer than others, some shorter....

Thanks, hon. It's good to be back.

Thanks, Rob! How have you been? What's new?
I've been good but busy, busy. I did such a good job at work in 2005 and 2006 they gave me a new assignment and knocked me way, way out of my comfort zone and it has been a bear tackling my new position.

1. You are such a freak.

2. Thanks. What are you going to be for Halloween? That made me laugh.

Miss you too! It sounds like we're being generous with the 30 minutes then but I really can't even imagine how I could say everything I'll want to say in 15 minutes. Then again, with the 30 minutes and 33 students, well, there's a good 15 hours of my life I'll never see again.

...Don't cha wish your (boy)friend was a freak like me...

I have no idea. I hope that I am "going to be" home from work, that's what I hope. I usually throw on a goofy (little g, not capital G) hat or something. I'm glad that made you laugh. That's one of the means to the goal, remember?

I think we get 15 minutes also. It can feel very limited at times (with my boys that need a lot of, um, discussion -- with the golden one, well, we're in and out in a hurry).

Also, I can be a little wordy. :rolleyes1 In case no one's noticed. That way I'll be safe. Glad I could clear this issue up with my online friends! :rotfl:

1. Singing? Really? :scared:

2. I HAVE CLASS ON HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How much does that suck?

3. Does the teacher offer to meet with you another time if you don't feel like all issues that need to be addressed have been addressed?

1. Scared? Ha! You should be so lucky.

2. Bunches! I worked from 9 - 9 today with about 30 minutes for lunch (ok, and about 60 minutes of DISing) AND Rascal Flatts was in town in our brand new arena and DS14 wanted to go (and I was willing to take him if I could have).

3. Well, for some reason, they never want to meet with me over drinks and/or dinner to discuss my kids education. :confused3 But they will meet with my wife after school if we want them to. Really, a lot of our parent-teacher communications are handled via email.

1.

2. You should have told work to forget it and taken him. I bet that would have been a great show. No, scratch that. I KNOW that would have been a great show. Poor DS.

3. Email. Yes. Brilliant. Thank you.

NIGHT, ALL!!!
:grouphug:

Jean,

I'm glad to see you but I need to be going also (I know I am attempting to exercise self-control -- how scary is that?).

I am hoping to leave for work at 6:15 tomorrow morning (the wife and the kids are off tomorrow so I "get" to leave for work early -- lucky me -- of course, it makes it even harder to get up out of bed knowing that they are all sleeping in).

-- Rob

Hello Mixed Nuts!!!:wave2:

Okay, it's gotta be a pumpkin latte & raw meat!
Smile. Nod.
this is the attitude to cultivate for parent teacher conferences.
Yes, we gt 15 minutes, too.
but i feel the need to discuss everything re: DS.
Not only do the teachers' appreciate this, but so does DS :rolleyes1

PJ, I would have loved to and, honestly, normally I do. There are very, very few times I don't place my kids first but sometimes you have no choice.

Hi Jean! Thanks for the kind words. Of course I think they are sweet and smart, too. But I'm a little biased... ;) Remind me to upload my pic of Madeline devouring a cup of chocolate soy milk at Starbucks. She looks like an addict.

As a wife it is my duty to 'sleep in'
that wasn't posible for the 1st 16 years or so, butnow I am making up for lost time

G'nite Rob-bo

How can you go to bed when the game is soooo close! :scared1:

I am sure Peej is at the edge of her seat!

Holliday is out!!!

Ok, I swear I'm leaving. At least in 2 more outs anyway, at the most.

I missed this POST but I saw this PLAY! Woo hoo!

So, which do you enjoy more Jean: a bambastic slaughter like last night or a nail-biter pitching duel like tonight?

I would love to see the pic, Michele!

Okay, are you addicted to Starbucks?

2 out, top of the 9th--only a 1 run lead--okay I'm gonna hurl!
