Mixed Nuts Part 2

Got my Jack Skellington denim jacket yesterday! Wish it would hurry up and dry so I can wear it ASAP (I washed it because it smelled too chemicaly).

While I'm thinking of it...has anyone else read Lolita? I'm actually a bit disturbed by this book - and it takes a lot to disturb me.

Good night #3 from me  :grouphug:
How was your weekend Rob?
Wow. I completely misread this and thought you really had gone to bed Blue. You'd think after all this time, I could tell a smart*** post from a real one.

My weekend was good. Probably doesn't sound too impressive to a plumber's wife but I replaced a garbage disposal unit for the first time in my life and did it all by myself in about an hour so I felt pretty good about that. Also, got the yard verticutted, aerated, overseeded, and fertilized.

Other than that, it was just one little league baseball game and college and pro football on TV. The Colts and Titans played an exciting game as did the Browns and Bengals in a game where both team's defenses may as well have just stayed home.

Good night from me too. Just finished the last batch of laundry.
Took forever to help KJ with his homework. God, I am not smarter than a 5th grader, just so you know. My head hurts.
I knew there was a reason the wife did homework duty although I'm starting to get to. Physics, Chemistry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and such are all subjects the oldest boy is starting to get exposed too (well, not Calculus yet) and I am the one that gets to help with subjects like those. American History seems to have been "assigned" to me as well.

While I'm thinking of it...has anyone else read Lolita? I'm actually a bit disturbed by this book - and it takes a lot to disturb me.
I never have read it but I'm sure it could/would be disturbing.

Good afternoon Liz, Peej and Rob, also to any lurkers!

No Liz, haven't read it.

Rob, I'll trade American History for any math. I'm better at the history, geography, science stuff. Math and English, not so much. Usually Kevin helps with the math, but he was installing a new microwave, it's still not done. @@
Besides the horrifying math, we had to do a paper on a Greek God, that was fun.:teacher:

I can appreciate this! Well done Rob!

I've noticed that LBelle has been offensively absent from both the Chatters and the Nuts. Kudos to whoever finally managed to scare her off. :woohoo:

Hey Cheryl! Did you see my note that we will be at BCV from 10/20-10/25? Then we move to VWL.

I have been loking for a new bed for KJ. His room is small and I currently have two twins, plus dressers and night stands in there. I want to take all his stuff out of the family room and have a desk and stuff for him in his bedroom. I was thinking about this set.
What do you think?

YES!! I'm so excited! It would be funny if we were neighbors for 2 days. SAB, here we come!! Is there a blender in the kitchen? I think I'll bring stuff for frozen drinks.
I just added the dining plan to the trip. Just what I need, more food @@.

Well, it had to be Rob;)
Lisa, come out whereever you are!

Hey, why did my quote come out like that:confused:

I never have read it but I'm sure it could/would be disturbing.

I don't know that it's so much the fact that the narrator is a grown man and "Lolita" is 12, but...first he marries the mother so he can get closer to the daughter, then he plans to kill the mother but doesn't, then he plans to drug both of them so he can have his way with the daughter, then the mother dies in a freak accident anyway...

Yo. This is messed up.

I mean, I get what's happening "in the background," so to speak, but...yo...

Where the heck is everyone?? :confused3

Don't you know lunch breaks are for DISIng?
As I drink my morning coffee:surfweb:

I'm here but not on lunch break. We're not allowed to stay at our desks for lunch. If you've clocked out for lunch, you MUST go to the breakroom or parking lot or leave the grounds. Scuttlebutt is that people were abusing the "it's-okay-to-eat-at-your-desk" rule - claiming that they were working through lunch, but surfing the 'net instead, while not clocking out.

It's probably good to get away from your desk at lunch time. So, is there a computer in the break room?

Good Morning all

It's probably good to get away from your desk at lunch time.

I totally agree, I've found that if I eat at my desk people still stop by and ask for assitance with some problem.

They always ask the same question, "Are you at Lunch?"

Yes I am

Oh....Could you tell me how we are suppose to do.....

Come on people use that gray matter between your ears.

So now I usually go park somewhere on Campus and watch a DVD.

Nope. But there is cable TV and a sofa. Back when I didn't care so much about getting overtime, if no one was up there, I'd put on Star Trek The Next Generation and stretch out on the sofa for the hour.

The other day, one of the guys from the service department was lying on the sofa, snoring away! And it was LOUD.

Hi Keith!
So, now I'm drooling over your siggy and your beautiful weather.

Did I tell you we had a tornado here Sunday? Kind of strange, came across Ft. Myers Beach, just missed us and then onto Cape Coral about 5 miles from here. Wiped out 18 homes and a Walmart.
I'm ready for cooler weather!

I once had a coworker hunt me down in the parking lot to ask me a question about an order! I was like, um, hello...I'm at lunch!

Oh, yes, I forgot about English. English and spelling I pretty much have from First Grade through Graduation. And for good reason -- you do NOT want to learn spelling from my DW. :scared:

I think the plant needs to go (what boy wants a plant in his room?) and is that a SOFTBALL in his glove? WTH? It's also got that "Ontario" word in it which is a bit scary. Other than that, the design looks pretty cool. So, when you kick your DH out of the room for snoring too loud, does he get the top bunk or does KJ?

I will often do work at home in the morning before coming into the office for the same reason. I can get more done there without the interruptions. I also get a lot done after 5 when most of the folks have cleared out.

Are you allowed to watch those types of DVDs on your Campus??? :cool1:

Must have learned from the same teacher as I did ;)

LOL Yes, the plant will not be there, nor will the baseball gear!
I think they will have to flip for the top
