Gram is still kicking, so to speak. But my mother keeps waffling...one day, she thinks she's not long for this world. The next she says she's fine and will be around for a while. Then the next day, I get "I don't think she'll be around much longer."

I bet she'll die on my birthday. Certain dates seem to run in my family, births and deaths and etc. I was born on July 16, Gram's stepfather died on July 16, so I wouldn't be surprised if Gram goes on July 16.

Where the heck is everyone? Sure is quiet with the three trollops missing

How are ya doing this morning? You wouldn't believe the weather here today. We went from feeling like 42 Celcius last night to 18 today with a North wind of 20km I'm back to wearing jeans and a sweatshirt

The guys remodeling the warehouse are playing Oh Sherrie. We work right next to the warehouse area, which is how I can hear it. That song makes me stabby.

Another example - both my grandfather and his sister were born on March 13, and Gram's aunt died on March 13. Two years ago, the day before my birthday, I found out via the internet that my father was dead. Granted, he didn't die on my birthday, but that's when I found out.

My mother passed away two days after mother's day but the last time we were able to talk with her was on mother's day. After that she was just on the support while all we could do was wait until she left us.

Thanks for the hugs. About your something else on the mind..........whatever you're comfortable with telling, I'm comfortable with hearing, just so you know, but you never have to tell me a thing. Just I need a friend is enough. And about the birth/date deaths........some cultures believe (like many gypsies) that there should always be a beginning when there is an end............thus marriages happen when there are funerals, babies are named after those most recently passed, and so on.

I'm trying to think of a way of saying what it was that was on my mind, but there's no way to say it without saying too much, I think. I guess I could say that my loyalty is being tested, in a way - I have a (very good) friend who is encouraging me to do something, but I feel like I'd be betraying him by doing it, even though he's right. I really can't say much more.

I am sorry to say that I am "zonking" out early tonight. I wish I could stay and chat with you but I'm tired and need to be up early tomorrow

Many text messages from the peanut tonight. Last one she sent was from the car on her way home. She was extremely tired from the time change and 20 hours of travelling to get home.
