Mixed Direct & Resale Points

DW and I bought into SSR direct last summer. Un(?)fortunately I'm already starting to feel the pangs of add-on-itis. Not enough to actually do anything yet, but it's got me thinking: If I were to add on via resale (and got lucky enough to find the same use year for the points/cost we'd want), how has DVC been treating mixed points? I know in the past as long as they were the same home resort/use year they were essentially combined into a single "pool" of points, but as they now distinguish between direct and resale how does it work? Would there then have to be tracking of direct vs resale points left in the "pool?"

I don't think it would matter as long as you are using the points to book a DVC resort. If you are trying to book using the DVC Collection options, then you could only use the direct points. Given that, I'm sure DVC will be tracking those separately and can't combine them.
