Mitt Romney

apparantly yeah....unless, regular Joe is doing some un-regular things!!

I don't no what to make of this election. All I know is that I work for a non profit organization and we work with folks with developmental disabilities and this budget crisis is devastating the services in Mass. I guess I'll vote for the one who'll do the less damage.

I'm confused as to what his being Mormon (I think he is) has to do with his running for office,

You're lucky you only get NH and MA ads. I get NH, RI, and MA and it's driving me nuts!

I've met Mitt Romney a few times when he was running for Senate. He appears to be a nice enough guy, but seems to be kind of shifty. There's just something about him I don't like that I can't put my finger on.

When I first read your question i thought you asked if Mott was a "MORON" not "MORMON"!!!LOL!!!

Well, yeah he is(Moron that is ;) )and so is O'Brien.I was all set to vote for O'Brien until she got Gore to come stump for her, then said while she doesn't support gay marriages she would sign the bill if it got to her desk as Gov.How waffily a position is that? And Romney...the cutesy ads with the wife and kids tells me 0 about what you'll do as Gov.As far as I know,he ran the Olympics. This qualifies you to run our state how?

Leadership so sorely needed, choices so pathetic.

The lovey-dovey ad with his wife is driving me crazy.

First of all he is complaining about the NEW sport coupe he drove at the time that he used to pick up his (future) wife for his senior prom. Second he goes on to talk about taking a security guard job during his frosh year at Stanford so he could fly home to Michigan secretly to see Ann. If you remember - most people couldn't afford to fly regularly in the '60's. Flying was VERY expensive. (An airplane ticket cost the same amount then as it does now & people earned far less then.) He has always been a very wealthy man - he is NOT an average joe. (Not that it precludes him from being intelligent, a great business man, or morally sound)

Also - I think his dad was Govenor of Michigan at one point.

The Globe said the advertising company that shot this ad also did a similar one for a guy running for office in Illinois.

I also work for a non-profit so I will vote for O'Brien because I think she will restore some necessary funding. But either choice is pathetic.

I am trying to understand this here... do we penalize him because he worked hard and made money... do we penalize him because he is Mormon... if that is the case do we penalize Shannon for being Catholic...As a woman voting, I have to tell you there is nothing I would like more than a woman Governor..but I am not so sure she is the one... Personally.. they are both driving me crazy and I agree that we should vote for the one who can do the least damage.........I am tired of living in Taxachusetts... I could move but from what I see from the NH ads, I am not sure I want to live there either..;) ;) :)

it has absolutely nothing to do with anything. i just heard that he was, and was curious to find out if it was true. can a body not ask an innocent question nowadays?

You might as well have put it on the DB Hes.

I am not penalizing him because he has money just for his ads that make you think that he is an average working man. He is not and spending a few hours doing "blue collar" jobs for ads does not make him one. I actually find it a bit condescending.

Oh Boy!! I thought you wrote MORON not MORMON....It was confusing me.....:jester:

Okay, back to your regularly scheduled programming.....

If you guys don't want him back east you are welcome to send him back to Utah. Frankly many people were disappointed that he didn't stay. We were kind of hoping he would stay and save us from Uncle Leavitt (our Gov) or one of our Congress Critters. He did a FABULOUS job on the Olympics and was very responsive to local ideas.

Yes, he is a Mormon.

Please send him back.

(This was in no way paid for by the committe to elect Mitt Romney)

What kind of name is Mitt?

LOL! My DD said when she first heard his name "Who'd want to vote for a guy named after baseball things?" She supports Shannon O'Brien and is ticked off that they don't let 6 year olds vote!

I still haven't decided...too bad the Green Party Candidate hasn't had much coverage. She was interesting in the one debate she was allowed to participate in.
