Yeah it's kind of annoying sometimes, but it;s just pretty much become a social norm, which i have unfortunately adapted to,which is really too bad.
As for saying "i love you" , I don't see why anyone has a problem with anyone saying it. I think that if you feel like you love someone, even if you don't LOOOOOOOOVe them, if you appreciate them and value their frienship or whatever....say it. you only live once...why should you be limited to who you say "i love you" to???
obviously there's a huge difference between telling your family you love them, telling your friends you love them and telling a true love that you love them.
But I am a firm believer in expressing your love for others, even if it's not "true love"
