misting fans

Can anyone tell me where to get these misting fans or mini fans? I have looked at Walmart, Canadian Tire (but maybe in the wrong spot). I would really like to get some before we go so I don't have to pay the Disney price.

I got mine at Walmart in the camping/sporting goods area. They were in a bin. They are not the mini ones though. I would jut go into that section and ask someone where they are

i just picked up a misting fan at walmart...it was in the exersise equipment area. It is a bit smaller than the Disney ones, but not tiny! It was about $8. If you go here, you can see it, it is the blue one on the bottom right!

I got mine a Liquidation World for $5. Spray bottle kind with foam fan and carrying strap. Mine is the lime green one on the link above, but I got it in blue with red.

I just picked up the exact same one as Disney Brat (the O2COOL brand) from Walmart Supercentre in Heartland Mississauga today!!! They were $8.98. I walked through the camping/outdoor/exercise stuff and just happened to look at a TOP shelf and saw them sitting there! They come in blue and pink. Large opening for the water so that you can add ice to keep the water cold. They really work!! Great at keeping you cool that's for sure. I'm just glad we have them for next week!

I picked up a pink one today at Walmart. I was hoping for blue, but they only had 3 pink ones left. Oh well, can't be picky. I'm just glad I was able to find it.

I went to WalMart to get one today and they had lots but they are really big!
We're only carrying a small pack from MEC so instead we got an O2Cool "Mist 'n Sip". It's a water bottle that sprays a light mist.

Just got back from Walmart and I am now a proud O2COOL misting fan owner! Thanks to all who provided directions--- they were right in the camping section like you said they'd be . DD wanted pink, I wanted blue. I couldn't resist letting her have her own- they were practically 2 for 1 (compared to the onsite Disney price). The deal is: she has to carry her own. Yeah, right. Who am I fooling? That'll last about 10 minutes, then for some reason or other (which she will conveniently come up with) it'll end up in my backpack. *sigh*

Ouch!! I am glad I got mine at Walmart...I was thinking that I was an overplanner...kind of driving my hubby nuts with all this pre-disney shopping and planning...but wait til he hears how much $$$ I just saved him!!!! "It's not how much I spent...it's how much I SAVED !!!!" LOL!!!

As for overplanning, no such thing! I'm an avid planner myself (borderline OCD) and you know what? I love the thrill (*ahem* control *ahem*) of organizing park days, tour plans, ADRs, what outfit for which day... (see above for confessed OCD issues). There's a certain amount of gratification that comes from realizing your family has had an amazing care free vacation because you invested some time in preparing for it.

They are pretty small and fit in the palm of your hand.

I think they are quite good for there size and they are easy to carry around as they have a carabiner that can be attached to a bag or belt loop.

but plain old fans, lol. Just stopped at my local Shoppers and there was a cart with stuff for a buck each. I saw some fans there but they were Simpsons and Diego, but for a buck, they looked good. So I took the chance and picked two up and they work like a charm Now to pick up a lot of batteries for this trip. Oh and DD is so cute - around Easter M&M's were selling a fan like thingy with chocolates in it and she wants to bring that with her. If it will keep her cool, I say why not.

Just got back from Walmart's (love) and bought a misting fan, in blue. My Dbf thinks i'm crazy and was embarrassed at the idea of carrying it around the park.. but i'll ask him again while i'm misting him during a HOT day at Animal Kingdom
