Misting Fans

Just a word for all of you who enjoy the misting fans. First, let me say that I think they are a wonderful thing for cooling off. However - I'd like to add one word of caution.

Sometimes, when spraying misting fans, people seem to get over-zealous. They not only spray themselves, but also those nearby. Now, I have no problem getting "misted" - especially on those hot July days - BUT - my daughter wears hearing aids. If the mist hits in the wrong way, she has trouble with her batteries in the hearing aids. So - please - check before you mist. Thanks for letting me explain.

I know what you mean. I was sprayed several times, but I didn't mind. I could see where it could possibly be a problem. I was very careful to explain to my kids that they needed to be careful not to spray others.

I've never thought of hearing aids. My kids mist and I am always on their case to make sure they don't mist anyone (just because I didn't want people to get misted if they didn't want to be) but I never thought about hearing aids getting damaged. Thanks for the information!
