i hope this helps others in there search for the small or large mister fans to carry in the parks. i cant seem to find them in the stores here except for the bigger ones which are bulky/heavy to carry. just a note that friday the temp is going to be 92 here in florida and we go to DW in less then 2 weeks!!

We used these last May during our trip and they were AWESOME!!!! They work really well! We weren't sure they would make that much of a difference since they are so small, but spray some water on your neck and use the fan and you've got instant relief! We bought ours for $5 at Rite Aid last April. There were a ton of posts about them last year around that time. I think WalMart also sold them last Spring.

Unlike the big fans that are attached to large water bottles, these are very small and lightweight which makes them great to carry around the parks. There are water fountains everywhere so there's really no need to fill a large bottle with water and you'd be surprised how long you can use these for before having to fill them up again.

I wore mine on my messenger bag strap and DH wore his on his backpack strap so they were easy to get to while walking around or standing in lines.

I was looking for these at Wam,art and Walgreens yesterday. I didn't find them,I saw plastic drinking bottles that were also a mister(no fan). I don't know how these would work. I didn't buy them. They had an elastic hand strap and they were blue. There is always something new!!

i just got back from kmart of all places and they had the small ones Yeah for me .. anyways i had to ask for them and the guy showed them to me in a small display by the sunscreen. i am thrilled its cute, small and has a clip on it for my bag :)
i also bought a big one just in case but Dh said take it back cause it is huge and bulky and we used it before and it leaked in the bag UGHH.. so that one goes back but at least i found one.. happy hunting !!

www.campmor.com has them for $5.99, or if you REALLY like them you can buy a case of 12 of them for about $60 on Amazon! (That's actually not a bad thing if you're doing a big family group trip -- makes a nice gifty.)

Oh, about the larger fans and leakage: what I do is to dump the water out often and then stop by any vendor selling anything iced down -- they will usually give you a scoop of their ice with no problem, and it doesn't have to be potable since you're not going to drink it. That way we're normally only carrying ice, which is much lighter and less of a leak hazard in terms of quantity.

oh your too smart now why didnt I think of that?? once when smallest DD got her lip smacked open on the race cars we found a vender right outside it who gave me a piece of ice for her lip if i promised not to let her eat it.Something to keep in mind for next time though :) thanks for posting it !!

FYI: Walmart carries almost all of the models that the OP gave a link to but for MUCH less $$ plus no shipping.
