Mistake? Going to cars land in sept..

However the ones that are only at DL are at the top of our list, hope we can get them all..
Does anyone know of list of the rides at DL? This way I can sort out which ones will be on the top of out list??

Thank you all

But don't discount all the rides that are in common with WDW. For example, you must do POTC at DLR, if only to find out that you only have 1/2 the ride at WDW! :rotfl: And it's pretty well agreed that Space is better at DLR too. As well as Fantasmic!

thanks for the list1

O yes! there are some MUST DO rides... POTC, small world, splash.. ect ect..
however rides like peter pan, dumbo, auto we may have to skip.. (little shutter) :sad2:
its been years since we've been to DL ( that was New years 05)
so this time altho i want to do it all, but its just to much with a 10mo. old in toe:sad:

Im a big "do it all" when it comes to WDW.. My planning can take weeks if not months to work everything out..
my DH calls me the disney nazi when we are on our trip, cuz its my way or the highway.(.:rolleyes1 <---- cammando style is the only way to do disney)

however on our way home from our last trip to WDW, he was looking over all the things we did and then asked me "how we were able to go on EVERY ride see 50+ characters & yet feel like we were not rushing from place to place?!???" :cool1:
after 2 hours of explaining it to him he wished he never asked me! :crazy2:

I think it will be ok, there will be a few extra people there, as these will not be block out days for anyone, but with school having just started back up for many of the schools, the crowds shouldn't be too bad.

But you can't completely count on the school schedules, as there are still many year around schools in the area and the fact that more and more are doing home schooling or online schooling, so overall, add about 25% more people than you would have thought without Carsland having opened would have been there.

In other words, I would expect the longest lines to be about 30 minutes, FPs will not run out until 1 hour prior to park closing in general and if WOC is still running (rumor has it shutting down after Labor Day for rehab and a viewing area redesign, which is desperately needed)m you should be able to get a FP most of the day.

Please note that this is strictly an educated guess.

Echoing PP: Sept. is a fantastic time to visit DLR. Locals don't take their kids out of school on the weekdays, so it was walk-on for many rides for us. Weekends are still busy, since so much of the DLR target audience is locals. We went last year and TLM and ST 2.0 were both totally manageable. I FP'ed ST2.0 every time and TLM sometimes was just 5-10 minutes (I rode it twice).

If you see my TR, linked below, you can see a list of all the rides we did and the order we did it in!

Have fun!!!

Good points all! I'm expecting our October trip will be a bit more crowded than usual, especially in DCA, which has always been a ghost town at that time. We went last year at the same time though, and of course we ran to Star Tours first thing fearing we'd only get to ride first thing in the morning, etc. But while the line to Star Tours was always busy, it was never more than an hour for Stand by, and they didn't stop issuing FPs until the afternoon. So I'm hoping that by that time (like Touring Plans predicts...) it will have settled down to a more manageable level.
I know many are saying it could be busier with the APs finally not blocked out, and there is a little bit of truth to that. But I noticed that mostly in the late afternoon, after school got out. California has some pretty strict attendance policies because the schools generally receive funding based on how many kids are at school each day, so the schools make it a pain to be absent, and most parents don't want to deal with it. So our strategy was to arrive early, get on what we needed to and collect FPs, then come back to those rides later when the crowds picked up. Worked great! And while you may still wait for an hour for RSR, you'll be complaining about the "long" waits of 20 minutes at the rest of the attractions!

We did DL after Disney cruise last Sept and t was great. Weather was great and crowds were relatively light. I do enjoy Sept and May for DL. Even if the hours are shorter mid week which happens FYI.
I was surprised we only saw about 6 families from the cruise at DL / DCA afterwards. Not as many as I thought :)

Enjoy it! It's a great way to end a fab Disney Cruise!
