Saw this on the WDW board and thought it would be fun to see who is from the state of Missouri and where they tend to vacation more often....D'land or D'World?

Hey KCMike!! Well, I'm a fellow KCer, but I live on the Kansas side, does that count??

If so, we definitely go to DL more. We have family in San Diego, and I get to LA a lot on business, so it works out well for us to go to DL when visiting SD, or if I go to LA for work, my DH will fly out and we'll stay for the weekend. We have been DL AP holders for the last two years. We went 4 times last year, and will have 3 trips this year by the end of the year!

We do love WDW though. We both went with our familes as kids, and we went together back in 2005, with another trip planned for December 2009.

But as excited as I am to go back to WDW, every trip to DL is like going home!! :cloud9:

The nice thing about living in KC is that it's an easy flight to get to either one! For DL we fly into LAX, cause it's so pricey to go into SNA, and no direct flights. We always try to fly Midwest if we can, nice way to fly!:thumbsup2

Hopefully they will still be flying direct to Orlando when we go next year, sadly they have been cutting direct flights out of KC.

Good to talk to a fellow KC DISer!!

When I lived in St. Louis, up until summer 2000, we went to WDW between 2-5 times per year - we have DVC and airfare was cheap.

After I moved to Los Angeles, we bought premium annual passes to DL. We now go there once every 2-3 weeks!

We still go to WDW once a year/every 18 months and overnight stay at the DLR 2 times/year.

I live about 50 miles or so from the Missouri state line....can I respond? Haha.

I lived in KC from '88 until '07. We can't afford to do Disney often, so while I lived there we did one trip to WDW and one to DLR. Both were equally enjoyable, obviously for different reasons, but I loved the fact that when we went to DLR we left home around 7 and got to John Wayne by 9 their time...we had a full day! Traveling to WDW meant we left home around the same time, but didn't get there until about 2 their time. We were able to do a half day in the park, at least.

Now I live back in CO. We went to WDW this past May and found that the added hour in time zones meant that there was no way to get in even a half day at the parks that first day. We took the earliest flight out of Denver on Southwest and didn't get to the resort until after 4.

I'm Disney dreaming again...this time about CA again. I haven't looked at flight times, but if it works similarly to our last trip, we may get there before we leave, lol!!!

I used to live in STL, until a little over a year ago. We always went to DL. In fact we just made our first trip to WDW this year. Now that we live in AZ, it's DL more for sure. I love it there!

We also live in the Kansas City area. We usually go to Disneyland, but have been to WDW 3 times. I tend to prefer Disneyland because it brings back such great childhood memories. I grew up in Ventura.

Wow I am begining to think that all the Diney fans have left Missouri! I still live in KCMO. Have been to DL once as a child, once with my kids when young and once with just the adults. Been to WDW once with my Grandkids and twice just us adults. I also have been on 5 DCL cruises so far. This year I have a visit to WDW and back 2 back western cruises planned for next month. Then in 2009 we have 6 nights 5 days booked at DL.

I am right in the middle between the two Disney destinations so it really dosn't matter which way I go.

im not from the MO side but on the kansas side. In Topeka and hour away. But i always go to Disneyland. But i would like to go to both. I just like California.
