Missoula Children's Theatre

This summer is the first in years that MCT hasn't come to a town near me. I've missed it only twice.

Anyway, I was just wondering if any of you, or your (grand)kids have participated in MCT.

I have been in Treasure Island as a Seagull, Cinderella as a Pumpkin, Jack and the Beanstalk as a Lion/Fire-eater, Beauty Lou and the Country Beast as Younger Barbie Lee, Sleeping Beauty as Younger Sleeping Beauty, Red Riding Hood as Red, The Little Mermaid as Ophelia, and Alice in Wonderland as Tall Alice. I really enjoy these plays. I love the exhileration of auditioning and getting a lead role, then having to memorize lines in a couple of days. It always amazes me how we can pull together a play in a week!

My kids were in Alice In Wonderland years ago! It was a GREAT experience! My daughter was one of the playing cards and my son was the Mock Turtle! So cute!!! I should find the pictures...

My DDs were in Robin Hood 2 years ago and last year they did The Little Mermaid. Hoping to see them come back this year.

Our kids did Missoula productions in their old school. I loved watching them. The scripts are great and the kids do an amazing job learning the play in just 4 days. Some of the ones they have done were The Frog Prince (very funny one), Red Riding Hood, Pinocchio and I can't remember the rest. It is a great experience for the kids.

My DD was an AD for the plays for about two years....it was the best experience and very useful for college aps!

Bumping this because Missoula is at our base this week. This year they are performing The Wizard of OZ
