mission space

My DS was 5 the first time he rode it. I only let him ride it twice then, I was getting to motion sick for more. DW could only handle once. This year (DS now 6) he and I rode it twice before I had to quit from motion sickness. He would have ridden as many times as we would have allowed.

My DS was 7 when he rode for the first time. I was 45 LOL. He did fine, I got nauseous for about 20 minutes after the ride. But my son told me I turned my head and looked at him. And I think I did - so that was probably the cause of the nausea.

I tell guests who ask me that mom or dad should ride it first and then decide if it would be appropriate for their child.

Best wishes.

I've ridden Mission: Space several times with no effects. I love it! My tips would be for the younger kids to try and have them in the middle seats (the ride seats 4 to a capsule). The outer seats vary in the intensity depending on the capsule. I use to know which position was the most intense and I've been lucky to have been in all the seat positions.

The best advice is just not to have eaten a huge meal before riding it. All the times I've been on it I've never seen anyone get sick afterwards.

It has excellent effects and is worth going on at least once.

Good luck to the Mom and the 7-year-old! I hope you try it. Ely

The ride was great, don't get me wrong. I didn't feel sick while on the ride, only afterwards. But it was enough to make me never want to ride it again, and ruin the rest of the day for me as well.

I have rode M:S three times and I love it! I have only felt a little sick one time and that was the second time I rode it. I turned my head to left and I think thats what made me feel sick. Also the take-off is the worst part. I cant really breath that well but after the take-off I am fine. I reccomend that if you dont think you will like it, dont go on! It is a very long ride (I think about 4 minutes and that can be very bad if you dont like it:confused3 )

I have heard physicians say that the spinning is not good for small children and now that I am older I wouldn't let a 7 yr old go on it. I didn't know any better when my children were small and one of them loved wild rides. I got very sick on the ride myself.

That was a good one! :rotfl: Too funny!

I hate mission space....this is the worst ride I have ever been on. But I love Disney :bounce:
