About Mission Space...is it a spining ride?? My family has a really weak stomach for spining rides, but some people said that it does not spin at all...We can't even ride the Tea cups at Magic Kingdom...But we can ride roller coasters with ease though....like the Dueling Dragons at Universal and The Rocking Roller coaster at MGM...and we have fun..but I'm not sure about mission space....Help? Could I ride it?

yes its actually a spinning ride but you dont know that your spinning, its very wierd.

I wouldn't even try, I too can't do the Tea cups or anything that go's around. When we were there in Sept. we went on the MS ride. My DD and I took sea sick pills, thinking that would help. I did read on these boards that some people do that. We did and it didn't work for me I got very sick. Even had to go to first aid and rest for one hour. My DD felt a little funny, but she was ok. My DH was fine he can do all kinds of rides. It is a spinning ride, would not go if I was you. Good luck.

I won't go on spinning rides like tea cups or primeaval whirl. Went on missions space. Felt a little out of it for about an hour,(wouldn't ride test track right away), but felt fine after that. It is worth doing. The initial blast off is awesome.

Mission Space does spin but you are inside the spaceship so your eyes don't see the background spinning. It actually feels like you are lifting off. For some people (like myself) this helps; for others it doesn't

Yes, indeed it must be spinning very fast to create that lift off sensation. I too have trouble with spinning rides but if you concentrate on keeping you eyes open and focused on the screen in front of you it helps. That and "do not look to your side". I thought it was well worth the experience. Quite an amazing ride really but others have said they didn't feel right for the rest of the day. Kind of hard to figure I guess. . .

The warning at Mission SPace says there is spinning, but I didn't feel it either. It's actually a feeling that I just can't explain! I can't handle the tea cups either, but I like Mission Space.

If it is spinning, I think that it is "virtual" spinning... it feels awesome!

Yes, it spins but you are in an enclosed area so you don't feel or see yourself spinning. If you have a very weak stomach I would not recommend it. My dad got sick while my sister, mom, and I were perfectly fine. It's supposed to feel like you are IN space, so you feel some weightlessness but it's such a unique experience it's a bit hard to explain. It's one of those things you just have to try for yourself. You could take motion sickness medecine beforehand and not eat a big meal (or any meal) and you should be okay. If it's any consolation...I hate the teacups but I did fine on this ride. It all depends on the person
